OK I'm back, well was back last night but too tired to post anything. We went to Epcot and Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida and had a great time. Surprisingly the lines were short for everything, especially at Epcot.
This trip was more for me than the kids. I haven't been to Disney in 16 years.
I posted a list of 47 expired domains in the DNXpert domain name forum today. I practice showing only a sample of that list on my blog here to be fair to the folks took the time to register on the free forum.
Forum registration is absolutely free - you can register here to have access to all past and future free lists.

Short .mobi domains are "free", if you develop them.
As Domain Name Wire reported in November, dotMobi has the green light to allocate one and two character .mobi domain names. The company explained the process for acquiring these domain names on its blog over the weekend.
First, you'll need to complete a very short form to...
Don't try to lookup hotel information at RenaissanceHollywood.com — it's expired.
A few minutes ago I was looking up information about the hotel for this week's DOMAINfest Conference in Hollywood. I googled "renaissance hollywood" and the first result was for www.renaissancehollywood.com. I clicked through the result and was surprised to se...
Only about a year ago the domain name industry was very secretive and not many tips or tricks were given out. With the popularity of blogs, a lot of this has changed.
Blogging is tough work, Trust Me! The only reason why I blog is because I love domain names, the domain industry and I love
WARNING: Some people have reported that Facebook has actually began to ban accounts that are using multiple coupon codes… some don't care and are risk-takers, but just wanted to let it be known! Use at your own risk!

One more GUBU FB SkewURL. This one's both a Bad URL and a Bad Brand. Granted, they don't have much to work with here what with the name of the fish they support so I'm not going to ding them for their crappie name, just their crappie URL selection (if they are the American Crappie Association why use USA instead of America?) and their crappie URL d...
Here's another SkewURL submitted via Good URL Bad URL's Facebook page. Peter found this on his vaccuum cleaner bag. Who-over came up with this one is, as Tina Fey might say, a real d-bag.
We are hearing about more and more companies going bankrupt in these hard financial times so domain names held by these companies may come on the market in the near future. Trademark domains may be off the table but some of these companies may hold generic domains. So how do you go about finding and
This past week saw more activity at NameJet.com,? not only in the terms of numbers of domains which sold but also in terms of price and quality of domain.
Is the quality of the domains a sign of things to come in 2009 as people allow quality domains to expire with greater frequency?

A few of my friends are touting the importance of honor and respect and ethics, especially in these times. It's something I've been thinking a lot about.**
Today, Seth Godin, nailed it:
I got a note yesterday that said, "I'll be curious to know if it's possible to succeed and to stay clean as I see a lot of dirty "crooks" out there. I am trying t...
As a copywriter, Jonathan is particularly interested in names. He says, " Some I love, such as "Amazon" or "Starbucks," for their evocative quality. Some I hate (imagine what you will here) and some leave me just plain puzzled. Why is it, for example, that hair salons are especially prone to bad puns such as "The Clip Joint," or "Hair and Now"? (I s...
TechCrunch is reporting Saturday night that Twitter may have signed a term sheet with one or more venture capital firms that would value the microblogging company at $250 million.
Although it did not provide specifics, the report cited "a source with knowledge of the deal."
Last fall, Facebook was said to have made an offer to buy Twitter worth a...
Obama's Uncrackable Crackberry is cool. But Jacl Bauer's is way cooler. Not to mention a Chloe-level computer geek who can re-task satellite and feed the info to the Jack Bauer PDA; any satellite infrared image beamed to The Jack Bauer PDA of Death . . . Jack Bauer once downloaded the entire Internet onto his PDA and....

Go Daddy jumped into the online marketplace this past week. Even with these tough times, Go Daddy believes it can take advantage of its 2 million plus visitors a month and translate them into buyers and sellers for its new venture into online storefronts.
For $4.99 a month and a 10% commission, sellers can list as
A domain name is a lease, much like a telephone number. You don't own the domain, the registry does, and you don't own your telephone number, the phone company does.
What you do own, are the rights to use the domain. You can assign the rights to someone else (sell the domain) or you
