Domain sales in the 1st quarter of 2009 rebounded sharply from a dismal showing in the closing quarter of 2008. DN Journal sales data, collected from the leading sales venues across the industry, showed a double digit jump from 4Q-2008 as bargain hunters and small business start-up buyers brought the market back to life.

Applications won't be accepted until early 2010.
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has pushed back its estimated time frame to start accepting applications for new top level domains. ICANN had hoped to accept applications by December 2009, but now admits the process won't start until first quarter of 2010.

Pros and cons of the new generic TLDs
Beginning in the last quarter of 2009,...
The list of central registries that will attend Targeted T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Amsterdam continues to grow. NEVER BEFORE have so many registries and so many domainers been in the same place. It is almost like ICANN is coming to us but without having to deal with ICANN!
I'm so incredibly excited about the way things are shaping up.
