I've been watching some of the names I've let go in recent months, get snapped up almost immediately in the drops.
Good to know that somebody else recognises the value in the names.

There are alos those names
We have a good family friend who called me up today asking for my expertise to help him get started selling auto parts on eBay. While I am no expert on auto parts, I have developed a plan that will help him get started on eBay. This plan will allow him to determine the feasibility
Here are some random stories I have found that have to do with domain names but have not or would not be reported in the domain community otherwise. These stories took a good deal of digging to find, but I thought each was interesting in it's own way and wanted to share.

Ever since I started investing in domain names I always told myself to buy domains that simply make sense. Clear, descriptive, wide market reach, make sense with TLD etc.
I still buy domain names today that match this. I ask myself questions like:
Would a large company use this domain name in a marketing campaign?
Would a start-up
There seem to be two sets of minds operating in the domain industry: those who get the concept of branding, and those who flatly refused to be weaned from domain parking.
Those who get branding are normally the ones who understand the importance of quality domain names, and possess the wisdom of choosing quality over quantity
Now that Rio De Janeiro, Brazil has been awarded the Summer Olympic Games in 2016, it's important that domain investors keep in mind the words "Olympic" and "Olympics" in relation to sporting events is a highly protected trademarked term. The International Olympic Committee is familiar with the UDRP process, and the USOC has also filed

Morning Folks!! If your "Friend" costs you 50% of your earnings, is that a friend? Some, even many, let their personal friendships decide their domain placements. We all have friends and relationships. Of course you want to do business with the folks you like and the folks you get along with. Not everything is about money. However, business IS ABOU...
Interesting article over at Mashable.com, discussing the online charity auction for the Twitter account name "Drew" (Name only followers are not included, he has over 7,200 of them by the way)
The auction is being held for the benefit of? and all money from the sale will go directly to the LIVESTRONG foundation.
The seller is Drew
Glenn Beck promotes the latest target for hate mongering and Obama bashing: mothers. This site AsAMom.org (a NING forum called "THE SISTERHOOD OF MOMMY PATRIOTS") is now 5700 members strong and that's before it was featured on Beck, where mothers fill the stores and lines circle the blocks with Moms wanting to meet their hero, Glenn Beck. These ar...
A screen cap is worth a thousand words. btw, I have two rules for following people or not: 1) Don't tell me that you just woke up and are brewing coffee. That's assumed. 2) Don't add me to your Mafia family- my Twitter family is a Mafia family. A great debate on these two kinds of posts can be seen in this clip "What Would Shakespeare Tweet?"
With my focus lately on my geo developments I have not spent much time on domain drops or minisites. In the past week though I spent sometime going through drop lists and one of the names I acquired on?SnapNames was DallasTexasMortgage.com which has a solid exact match result in the Google Adwords Keyword Tool with
I always find it interesting to read through the various terms that drive traffic to this little blog here at BruceMarler.com. Most of the terms do not surprise me and should be expected, domain related terms are obviously no surprise and terms around minisites and Wordpress both tend to send me traffic. But I thought
Snapnames and Moniker have been running monthly themed showcase auctions for a few months now with great results. They are now?accepting "hand picked, no and low reserve generic and keyword domains" for their October auction. September turned-out to be the most successful month ever for my company and my blog and I'm hoping October will be even better! As your probably know, I'm the analytical type who likes to understand and document the things I do that work-out for me, as well as those that don't go according to plan.
