Recently I wrote about triple digit sales on Bido. It's nice to see they continue to add up daily. From our sales archive page, today's sales highlights:
german.ws $104
massivepromotions.com $160
tased.com $240
manhattan.ws $140
butters.org $111
VIDEOGAMES.INFO was also interesting, reached $1,590 but did not meet seller's reserve price.

Whenever I've posted previously about getting sales commissions on deals generated from my web sites, one of the questions that always comes up is, "What do you do if a company cuts you out of the deal"?
It's a great question and one that I have always answered, "I'd just stop their lead supply".
On the sites...
The following press release is for a domainer charity auction started by Craig Rowe, President of WhyPark.com. With the help of Rick Latona and our community they will be auctioning off 50 domain names for charity during the second week of December. I think it's a great idea and have personally donated a few names.
We?re almost done with the ?Developing A Geo Domain? series out of the Domainer?s Magazine, October issue. The last two parts of the series go into the marketing and monetizing of your Geo domain. This particular part of the series is specifically discussing the marketing aspect that comes with developing a Geo domain.
Next week LuxuryNames.com will be the featured auction on SnapNames.com from November 18 until the 24th. A catalog of available names that will be in the auction has been released and can be seen at LuxuryNames.com. There are over 200 high quality names to choose from with the majority of them being a .com extension.

Nominations and voting for the award were done by domainers over a period of two months prior to the award ceremony that was held

ICANN asks for feedback on Expressions of Interest for new TLDs.
As I've reported before, ICANN is exploring accepting "expressions of interest" for new top level domain names. This would allow applicants to put their hat in the ring for new TLDs and give the internet community an idea of the scale and complexity we're...
Domain name has two critical flaws, and it literally comes out in a radio commercial.
On my way home from an event last night I heard a radio commercial for Capitol Hyundai, a Hyundai dealer here in Austin. I couldn't believe what I heard:
"Visit Capitol Dash Hyundai dot com…don't forget the dash"
Wow. That's bad....
Arbitration provider wants to offer $250 expedited UDRPs.
Earlier this month I reported on WIPO's plans to introduce a fast-track UDRP proceeding. It would cost less and be decided faster than traditional UDRPs. At the time, I predicted that WIPO's competitors would follow suit because of venue shopping.
It looks like Czech Arbitration Court (CAC...
Lawyer filed claim on behalf of brother.
Earlier today I talked to Santiago A. Cueto, the first lawyer to file a lawsuit against Snapnames for the insider bidding scandal.
He was quick to the docket because lead plaintiff Carlos A. Cueto is his brother. While other firms were trying to find a lead plaintiff,
6 domains have received bids so far, with only about 5 hours left 'till this month's SnapNames showcase auction ends. If you haven't taken a look at the domains which are being offered yet, click here.
There are LOTS of no reserve domains to choose from and all in all, the reserves seem fairly low compared

Wendy's® food chain rolled out a new commerical last night during the CMA awards and used the domain name WendysRealTime.com for the site they were promoting. This is a full site and not just using domain forwarding.
As with many TV spots and the marketing sites that go along with them, this is a flash style
I just used direct navigation and logged into my Twitter.com account. Once in my account, I clicked on my Direct Message link in the right side task bar. Once I clicked the Direct Message text, the page changed and brought me directly to this:
TwitterPeek.com!
I felt a bit tricked really and wasn't sure what was up.
Some companies get it, many do not. The ones that do get it, also happen to own the Exact Match domain name to the company, product or service name they launch with.
The ones that do not seem to "get it" do all the work of "checking" for trademarks and such but fail to obtain the

Craig Rowe, of WhyPark, recently asked me if I would help him with a charity auction he was organizing. While I'm happy to assist, I think he's doing me more of a favor.
Some of you may have noticed that we've quietly rolled out a small ad campaign promoting pre-registration for our upcoming platform.? We have
Morning Folks!! One thing I have always learned in life is the cover up is worse than the crime. We have all learned that. At least we were supposed to learn that the first time you told your parents a lie. You lied about something stupid. I can guarantee it. We barely got punished for the bad thing we did because the lie trumped the bad thing 1000...
The continuing saga of the Commonwealth of Kentucky seizure of 141 domain names related to online gambling took an interesting turn today.
The action of Kentucky was protectionist as online betting is legal in Kentucky through Churchill Downs Incorporated, a public company with the stock symbol of CHDN, and its online betting service at TwinsSpires...
When Snapnames put each user's entire auction history into there respective Snapnames.com account last Saturday night, we went to work.
We scraped all the data from every auction.
We got every bid, every bidder, and organized them into a searchable database.
We then computed how many auctions each bidder was involved in, how many of those auctions ...

BigMouthAdvertising.com is a moving billboard that can be rented and parked in high traffic areas with live actors to dramatize real business benefits, as in this case, massage. Now, isn't there something else your domain can be doing today?
As seen on TV. Who says # of characters count. Gap, you've got a three letter domain anyone would die for and you advertise on TV with CheerFactory.com instead. And don't forget the "www" because they forgot to set it so you don't need it.

But most people after the sites are built just sit on them and don't do anything. You have to keep updating the websites or traffic and revenue will

I was watching the auction of 64.com at Sedo.com. You don't get to see many NN.coms in auctions. The final winning price is $89,000. Not bad and infact it has done reasonably well.
Check out the bidding history here.
Some of the NN.com auctions in the recent past are as follows.

I would like to thank everyone who have stopped by.? I hit 2000 uniques so far this week which is already a new high.? Not quite the 100K a week of my old but just getting the feel of everything.? I've had a year layoff and I'm getting the rust out of my brain.? I'll
There is no better way to build a blog, domain, or company than through strong communication.? Emails are the leading form of communication yet so many people neglect it.? It's a simple process, someone emails you, you respond.? It doesn't have to be at length.? It can be short and to the point.? Start off
The old saying is "bald men are not electable" but Sahar over at Bido has proven they are more than capable of opening a website. ?Not just any old website but a website lets you try and recoup some money from that .cc domain you bought after you came home drunk from that bachelor party.
First of all, I would like to thank my Mom for being the first one to sponsor my blog.? Although she made me put up "I Love You Mom" it was nice to see that at 40 years old she still supports my endeavors.? Before I start calling other members of my family I would
Today I stumbled upon an interview with the "domain king" Rick Schwartz on IDNBlog.com.? I was impressed to say the least and feel that it is an interview that all domainers can learn from.? Rick is truly transparent with his answers and he is a shoot from the hip type of guy.
The questions are clear
Today I was presented with an email from Sedo.com, explaining that I received an offer on a domain name which I currently have parked with their service.? After receiving a number of these offers in the past, I can firmly say that I did not get excited.? I have to admit that I was intrigued
