The only email program I have used in all my years online has been Outlook Express. It's simple and it works.
This week though, I've experienced a few problems.
First of all, my mail wouldn't send – or at least it looked as though it wasn't sending.
In fact, it was sending multiple copies of the same email,

The insider shill bidding scandal at SnapNames.com has resulted in a 2nd class action lawsuit being filed against SnapNames owner Oversee.net. In what could be a huge blow to Oversee if granted, the new suit asks the court to disgorge Defendants of ALL revenue earned from SnapName auctions during the Class period.
I just wanted to remind everyone briefly about the LuxuryNames.com auction happening right now, as we speak, well as you read. Remember the auction is going to be ending around 3pm Eastern time November, 24th, which is tomorrow!! Fifteen names already have bids on them, some by multiple bidders.

Tip number 4 of my 5 Tips For Selling Domain Names article?was to reach out to alternative extension owners. ?Meaning, if I own a domain name, I reach out to the owners of the same name with the different extensions.
This morning I did just that. I called a domain owner who was using .us because
Well, swine flu isn't the only epidemic going around the domain industry. DNUnderground has gotten word of the Desperate Advertisers Syndrome. If you catch this infectious virus, it could result in loss of revenue, loss of advertisers, loss of respect, and potentially, the loss of your potential friends.
Do you think you might have the
As I was doing some grocery shopping at Jewel Osco (a midwest grocery store chain) with my family for Thanksgiving, a manager came over to me and asked me if I was finding everything okay. It's getting to be quite a hectic week around the house because we are entertaining the whole family here in

Lawsuit claims violation of California law and fraud.
Another lawsuit seeking class action status has been filed against Oversee.net over the SnapNames insider bidding scandal.
Law firm KamberEdelson LLC filed the case on behalf of its lead plaintiff, Stewart Resmer, in U.S. District Court Central District of California on November 18. Resmer, lik...
Prolific panelist makes the right finding (this time).
National Arbitration Forum panelist Carolyn Marks Johnson is no friend of domain name owners. An early study of arbitrators found that she was one of the most prolific and biased, finding for complainants 97.2% of the time (compared to the typical 82.9% at the time). She
.biz takes the top spot for the week…sort of.
"The top sale at Sedo this past week was a .biz domain name."
I never thought I'd have the chance to write that. And I'm not being entirely truthful by writing it. The $66,001 sale of e.Biz claims the highest "number" for the week, but when
New MyWhois feature is a big usability improvement.
A month or two ago DomainTools changed the way it displays whois data. Whereas whois records and associated domain data used to be displayed on one page, it switched to a tabbed view to make it easier to read.
But some people are stuck in their old ways
It's pretty amazing (in a "wtf?! Is this guy serious?" way) that some people complain about not receiving more traffic after hiring one company or another to create a minisite and I find it just as amazing that lots of folks consider developing 100-200 domains a viable business model. Here's why:
Generating and Maintaining Traffic =...
DomainTools.com has rolled out a new feature that allows you to personally set up what data you want to see when you do a whois look up if you are a DomainTools member.
I helped a little bit in beta testing for the MyWhois and am happy to see they used a couple of my suggestions.

With the recent launch of DogWalker.com, I've been given more perspective about web development from the point of view of a domain investor. The site I launched is different than my other websites in a few ways, and I've expanded my breadth of knowledge as a result. This isn't the most polished blog post, but

Yesterday afternoon, someone asked me my thoughts on the topic of offering vanity email addresses. The idea is that people will become more loyal to your website and will visit more often if they have a @burbank.com or @dogwalker.com email address. While this may be true, I've heard there are many problems that vanity email

I took a gamble on a pair of newly registered domain names today. I was watching the news and heard a report about a drop-side crib recall happening for 2.1 million Stork Craft cribs.
