The upcoming Bido release is just around the corner and we thought, maybe it's time to share a little about it. Yesterday Jarred Cohen and I attended the South Florida Domainers meetup, where we met with many old and new colleagues. It was a lot of fun and was nicely put together by the organizers (thanks for that!). Since we're extremely busy work...
I wrote a little about Flowchart.com, our R&D project, here. While I'm not involved in the day to day operations of the project, I still monitor what people say. Check this out, on Twitter:
Pretty cool huh? Good going Jeff!

Our team is really not going to be happy with me telling you this as well. You see, they want to talk more about the good news, and I want to talk more about the bad news. So if you are sitting, some more bad news your way about the upcoming release: Initially Bido required ten votes to send a domain to auction, then we reduced to five votes, and n...
This morning, I was listening to the radio as I drove my car. As the song ended, the radio announcer starts to talk about a product. The new weekly domain sales chart is out at DNJournal.com. There are three heavyweights totalling $2.2 million at the summit on our latest Top 20 list. The leader ranks as the year's 6th biggest sale. We also saw one of the year's six biggest non .com gTLD sales this week along with a pack of solid ccTLD deals.
McAfee, one the of largest manufacturers of anti-virus software, just named Cameroon's .cm country code extension the riskiest domain to visit in the world. See the others that earned red flags as well as those McAfee says are the safest to visit. Domains are also in the news at the Wall Street Journal today.
Last night I attended a domainer meetup sponsored by Oversee.net in Boca Raton, FL. Let me tell you, it was worth the 2 1/2 hour drive! Originally there were going to be about 20 to 25 attendees. The final count, closer to 50.

A thread on namepros has alerted me to the pending-delete status of the domain name sedo.org – I probably would have spotted the name myself in my daily perusal of lists but still, it never hurts to be handed something on a plate.
Would you believe that there are currently some 72 bidders on this pending delete auction – a figure that i...

Pinky Brand explains what's going on with the .mobi domain name.
From the moment it launched, the .mobi top level domain name has been divisive in the domainer community. As people paid tens of thousands — even hundreds of thousands — for .mobi domain names at auctions, onlookers thought these people were crazy while the
Law firm found guilty of abusing UDRP.
It's bad enough when anyone tries "reverse domain name hijacking" through domain arbitration. It's worse when the culprit is a law firm.
But Bin Shabib & Associates of Dubai tried just such a stunt, filing a case for BSA.com. A three person National Arbitration Forum didn't buy it.

Frank Schilling's company files petition for cancellation after trademark owner threatens it.
If you've ever filed for a trademark, you know that it can be a challenging process to get approval. Just ask hotels.com and mattress.com, which have failed in their attempts.
But trademarks are inevitably improperly approved by the Unites States Patent...
Just how much time do YOU spend in front of the computer doing something which (in one way or another) has to do with domaining (yep, reading blogs and/or forums also counts)?

During Thanksgiving weekend, while my wife talked with her sister about her baby registry, I checked to see who happens to own BabyRegistry.com.
