I'm at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas with Bido COO Jarred Cohen and we're watching the site, activity, and just discussing things. Two things to point out:
1. The interest gauge is extremely useful. Go over it, find the winning patterns, and you will see you can largely ignore the item's name/description/etc., and just focus on the interest gauge to...
Afternic had just under $600,000 in sales last week with the two leaders being barbecuing, com for just $10,750 and motorcyclecenter.com for $10,000.00.

After a having a great time earlier this week at Affiliate Summit and a day off in between, T.R.A.F.F.I.C. is here. One thing I do want to say is that I apologize for the photo quality. I did not travel with my better camera because of all the traveling itself. As you've heard I am
With the hype in outsourcing anything and everything, we're seeing an increase of people outsourcing content creation. Whenever there's a hype, before getting involved in it, it's important to take a step back and evaluate the costs versus benefits.
We're all aware that it's much cheaper to have content written for you in India than by...
Over the past week or two, I've noticed something about the domaining community that I hadn't before. To put it simply, we're a tight, connected community. With the earthquake in Haiti and the announcement about Bill Strong's charity, I've seen numerous articles published about each. And it's amazing the amount of support we are able...

The domaining forum NamePros.com has been a staple for most domainers over the years. Most of us have bought or sold names there at least once.
It is interesting to find that NamePros.com has been having a lot of downtime issues just at the time when another old domaining forum has undergone an ownership change.
(It's not just me, namepros.com is d...

Case sheds light on Pool.com lawsuit against former registrar partner.
A National Arbitration Forum has awarded the domain name Dingbats.com to the complainant in a case against a Pool.com entity. What makes this case interesting is not that Dingbats is a generic term (don't make me start writing in dingbats!), nor that the complainant bought...
This week's TRAFFIC event will answer some questions.
Well, I'm off to Vegas.
I'm excited to attend the updated T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference. But unlike Ron, I'm not stoked about having two conferences back-to-back. Perhaps it's because I live in the middle of the country (not coming from the East coast) and have a small...

OK, so the title is simply a spoof of a "Make Money" system that I saw while browsing Alexa.com's Hot URL's this morning. Since the site was in the "Hot URL's" means it's getting traffic but I can tell you it's not from Direct Navigation!

NamePros.com is back up and working again. The domain forum was down for almost 2 days and has been having database issues for a pretty long time now.
I happened to run into an interesting little story over at NamePros.com .
The story is interesting in two ways…
1.) The OP stated they were in a bidding war with 6-7 bidders and they won the auction for $1,050. He wasn't able to pay for the auction in time and his Godaddy Auctions account was suspended.
Using Google Translate to translate English to [another language] is the # 1 mistake that all newcomers make. This is a telltale sign of one's lack of experience. If you crawl back through 5 years of IDNForums threads, you?ll see this mistake time and time again when new members post an appraisal. Mainstream machine

Most of us are pretty lazy creatures. We?re content to be spoon fed our news by the major networks and tabloids. I think not. Jeff is one of the brightest executives I've met in the industry and he is leading Oversee into the 21st century and beyond. And I mean leading literally. A lot has been written about domains and how you can buy, sell, develop them or even treat them as stock items. I plan on taking a different approach and dealing with domains as an unique asset class that is investable by the professional investment community just like any other class of asset such as stocks, land etc.
If domains can be legitimised...
