Today on Bido, biggest listing day ever, with 329 listed domains. As with a big list such as this, there surely...
For a number of years now, I've been a user and fan of XSitePro.
The program is a domainer's dream and could have been made specifically with domainers in mind. It was certainly built with the affiliate marketer in mind and that's it's real strength.
Using the in-built templates, it takes just a few minutes to get
ringe.de at 30,000 euro and musik-base.de at 25,001 euro tops the weekly sales list at Sedo. While .com is still the king, we are seeing a trend of high reporting

The Castello Brothers have developed successful websites on a number of great domain names including PalmSprings.com, Nashville.com & Whiskey.com. They are doing it again with KingTut.com, a project that produced an unusual connection between the Castellos, Tutankhamun and DN Journal's Ron Jackson.
This year Domainer Mardi Gras went with an online only auction which was hosted by SnapNames.com. I applaud DMG for not having a live auction. Coming off of two shows (T.RA.F.F.I.C. and DOMAINfest) there was just no room to hold a third live auction in less than 30 days.
Their online only auction closed today with
I just received a suspicious message in my email from a supposed "Facebook Manager " email address with the following contents:
Dear user of facebook,

The domain name exbf.com has sold on Sedo for a reported $12,000 according to Sedo's "recent sales" page.
The domain name which will probably be utilized as an acronym for "ex boyfriend" still has Sedo in it's whois as the transfer is in mid-completion, however there are a few suspects that could have been interested in the domain name.
1. ex-bf.co...
Patent describes system for providing alternatives to already registered domain names.
When you search for a domain name at any major registrar, and the domain isn't available, the registrar will likely serve up a list of similar domain names that are available for registration. VeriSign just got a patent for part of that process.

New proposal still doesn't make sense. But reforming UDRP does.
It's baaaack!
After being almost shot to death, the so-called "Uniform Rapid Suspension" idea (basically a very fast UDRP for alleged trademark domains) is back.
When URS was originally proposed, it was ridiculed from just about every sector of the domain name world. But...
Where's the best place to sell domain names online?
Sedo and GoDaddy have been selected as the two best online domain name sales venues in the 2010 Domain Name Wire Survey.
Sedo's position at the top of the charts is nothing new — it took 40% of the vote. But this is down from 48% last
Panel predicts number and timing of new TLDs.
Last Friday I had the opportunity to moderate a panel on new top level domain names during Domainer Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Michael Ward did a great job assembling a panel of people from all sides of the new top level domain spectrum:

One more reason to hate Yellowbook.
Dear Yellowbook:
Today you littered my neighborhood. You left yellow bags with your directories in them at each home. They'll lay there for many days — perhaps weeks.
It's not so much that I didn't ask for this delivery, or the colossal waste of paper, that bothers me. It's
Size of bidding scandal becomes clear.
A document filed today (pdf) in a lawsuit against Oversee.net and Snapnames shows that the total loss to U.S. customers from the bidding scandal was about $1 million, including interest. The total damages for all customers can be extrapolated to be about $2.0 million.
The document was a declaration of
I typically like to wait for an end user to approach me with a good offer, however sometimes it is nice to just sell some domains on your own schedule. I have a couple of big purchases on the horizon, so this week I have been testing a few of the auction sites.
First,
A few weeks ago I received an email from someone who had a large portfolio of domain names for sale. This isn't unusual, but what can be frustrating is seeing the same mistakes and unrealistic expectations, over and over again.
Consequently, I thought there are some interesting lessons for newcomers to the domaining industry, so
The grand total: $41,622. 35 domains have been sold, with ArtDealer.com as the "leader" (with a winning bid of $14,030). 25 of the domains which have had their reserves met are dot coms, then we have 5 dot net domains and 3 dot orgs.
