The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. Though no 6-figure sales were reported this week there was a flood of solid 5-figure sales. In fact we had almost enough of those to fill TWO Top 20 charts. In addition to the ones that did make our weekly leader board, we logged 18 other sales above $10,000.
Today in the Lowdown at DNJournal.com: A case study in how to create goodwill for your business and drive traffic to your geodomaiin websites. Veteran domain investor/developer Rob Grant provides a successful template you can use for your own projects, but be ready to get involved in your community if you want to reap big benefits.

A past record purchase via drop.com.au was for the domain name printing.com.au for a AUD 9221.00, but a few days ago this record was broken as bids in the auction for the d...

Anyone who attended one of the three domain name industry events so far this year has heard about the .co domain name launch. The domain's registry, .CO Internet S.A.S., has been aggressively getting its name out with a big marketing
Study says typosquatting money big. But there may be a conflict of interest.
A new study suggests that Google may earn $497 million a year from typosquatters targeting the 100,000 most popular .com sites on the web.
Although I question some of the logic in the report and its appendices, and it is tainted
A few snippets of interest came out of the 2009 earnings call for TCX. For the record, neither I, nor any company I'm associated with own any shares in TCX.
1. Revenue for the fourth quarter increased 6.1%
2. New registrations up more than 10%
3. For 2009 as a whole, domain service revenue grew almost 10% compared
I have been following the Candy.com website launch ever since the domain name sold for $3 Million USD (+ 2% royalties) to watch the category killer domain name climb the ranks in search engines. Since the domain was a parking page before being sold, I thought it would be interesting to watch the site climb
I wrote a popular post a couple of days ago asking people what recent domain acquisitions they made, and that post has received 71 comments as of this afternoon. Steve Morsa followed it up with an email suggesting another post asking readers to post some of their recent sales.
At first, I was a bit hesitant

I am not someone who is interested in politics or discussing politics. In fact, I strongly dislike political conversations with polarizing topics – it's just not my thing. That being said, I came across President Obama's Twitter page this afternoon and saw something that I think is pretty ironic.
