Humans are somehow obsessed with dates and numbers.
Since the early days of cave-dwelling, counting the goods we owned has apparently instilled a certain level of instinctive focus on numbers: how many, how often, when.
When it comes down to domains and domain portfolios, renewal dates are effective timestamps that tell us it's time to fork out...

Dotster was one of the first discount domain name registrars, but has languished through the last
German entity buys Schmuck.com domain name.
Sedo has sold the domain name Schmuck.com for 49,000 EUR, or roughly $66,000 at today's exchange rates. Before you think it's going to be some site about jerks or idiots, it looks like this may be a brand name in Germany, and it's also a common surname.

.Tel travels into "renewal valley". How will it come out on the other side?
The folks at .tel registry Telnic are certainly sweating this week: .tel domain names registered during general availability are hitting their first renewal period.
I call this period — when new top level domain names hit there first renewal period — the...
It was brought to my attention today that a domain name currently at auction on Sedo.com has capitalized letters for keywords that easily allows readers to read the domain name better. This is interesting because Sedo is one of the few domain name marketplaces that does not allow domain names submitted as they were by
I have written several times that there can be a large difference in values of domain names based on if the domain name is singular or plural. Sometimes the plural version of the domain name is more valuable and sometimes the singular version is the likely the highest valued. The value is often higher based

I was recently asked to assist a client of ParkLogic in a domain sale of com.au domains. Unlike .com domains com.au domains have some very peculiar rules about them that if broken could end you up in hot water via the governing body AUDA.
Many registrars take advantage of these rules to exploit their customers and generate huge fees for little to n...
This may not sound like much of an update, but it's been an annoyance for many customers who upload a large number of domain names using our "Bulk Add Sites" screen. Let me share with you some domain deals that I purchase in the last couple of weeks.
