This is the kind of news that you will be hearing a lot for the days to come, especially on its launch today.
Rick Latona effectively changes the paradigm of delivering a list of domains for sale: the domains are now placed on a 24-hour auction, with the clock ticking as soon as the newsletter notification
This post was sent to me earlier and as I knew this long before we started to build Bido, now others are noticing as well. The post goes into describing Bido and what/how we do it and ends with the following conclusion:
I know I titled this blog post ?Bido vs. Sedo,? but, for my use case at least, there is no comparison. Bido works, Sedo doesn?t.

Rick Latona converts his popular domain sales newsletter into a daily 24-hour auction that will run on the Latonas.com platform. Plus, Sedo rings up over $785,000 in .TV sales through an online auction topped by Business.tv at over $100,000.
Rick Latona is switching things up a bit!
In a nutshell, he's taking what used to be his daily newsletter and has turned it into a daily auction instead. For the inaugural auction the inventory will have a $1.00 reserve, but going forward after that the names will go back to having a "buy now" price.

New TLD debate has degenerated into nonsense.
If you live in America, the past several months have been all about loonies on both sides of the health care debate. They'll say just about anything, even if it's not true, to sway opinion on health care. The new top level domain name debate is really
Owner gets domain name back after long ordeal.
Last week I wrote about the domain name YH.com, which was stolen from its owner and offered for sale. I received good news today: the owner has gotten the domain name back.

How many registrations should a new TLD expect?
A call for new top level domain name applicants to be realistic about how many domains they can sell is coming from an unlikely source: domain name registry Afilias.
In a blog post today, Afilias points out that history tells us new TLDs don't get substantial registrations:
…Well, here we...
Sellers disputes auction, saying it didn't authorize sale of domain.
Last month the domain name MobilePhones.co.uk sold on Sedo for 91,500 GPB. At the time, that was about $137,000 USD. Since then, the buyer received some unfortunate news: apparently the seller is saying it didn't authorize the domain name to be sold.

Tom's Shoes clearly understands that a short, catchy, easy to remember, make sense domain name is best for them and use Toms.com for their main domain name. Not only does Tom's Shoes own and use a great generic domain name, for every pair of shoes they sell, they donate a brand new pair of shoes
I just received Rick Latona's Daily Newsletter email, which informed subscribers of a change to its format. Instead of listing domain names for sale at fixed buy it now prices, each listed domain name will be for sale in a 24 hour auction on Latonas.com. This is big news, which is sure to drive up

While Oprah and her people were excitedly (I am sure) announcing the news that Oprah will debut a new evening talk show called "Orpah's Next Chapter," someone else was excitedly racing to his computer to see if Oprah or her Harpo Productions had registered the matching domain name, OprahsNextChapter.com.
I can just imagine the feeling of

Techcrunch is reporting today that Yahoo is going to spend a whopping $100,000,000 on a new marketing campaign centered around the catchphrase, "It's You!" We've received many questions, suggestions and complaints about our new auction platform in the hours since the announcement. In this thread I'm going to do my best to get them answered.

In April 2006, we first posted this challenge. The question is how high can it go and why after 4 years has Microsoft stayecd the same (answer go to an NBC News property and try to share a story on Facebook).
When Joe Cirulli reached in his pocket for some money to buy a soda and discovered that he had only 12 cents left to his name, he was embarrassed. Then he got angry that he allowed himself to get in that position.Soon after, Joe wrote down a list of 10 goals. The list included "Save $1 million," and "Own a Mercedes-Benz like the one driven by the S...
Like the PSA's of TV's bygone era, advocacy advertising is another big need a great domain name can fill. The call-to-action TV spots for Values.com lead to an unlikely page. According to the site, "The Foundation for a Better Life creates public service campaigns to communicate the values that make a difference in our communities – values such as ...
