European Domain Conference Coming Up

Next month in Valencia, Spain, one of the largest non-US domain conferences called Domaining Europe  will be taking place at the Sorolla Palace Hotel. The event will be held from May 8 – 10, and the cost to attend is € 600.00 (a little over $800 USD). The sixth annual conference is being organized by  Dietmar J. Stefitz.

The robust agenda can be found on the event website, and it seems fairly heavy on gTLD and ccTLD discussions. There is a fairly diverse group of speakers who will be participating, and I think that is one of the benefits of attending this conference. It looks like there are also some very good networking opportunities.

Here’s how the event is billed on the conference website:

“Domaining Europe 2014 is the 6th European Domaining Conference in Europe with over 20 International Speakers and 120 Top executives from 20 countries. This year we are going to discuss the new market situation due to the arrival of the NewGTLD’s. Build and strengthen your Network at our Dinners and Special excursion on Saturday. All Food and Beverages are included in the Ticket price!”

I know several people who have attended this event in years past, and I have only heard good things about it. According to a message on the homepage of the event, the conference has sold out in years past, so registering in advance is recommended.

I don’t have plans to attend, but one of the benefits of being in this business is that I can make plans on the fly, so perhaps that will change sometime soon.
