Blast from the past: The Kids’ Guide to the Internet

In the 1990‘s things were definitely simpler; the Internet was something that one “installed” on their home computer.

Parents and kids gathered around, to “surf the Internet” and knowledge had an advantage over entertainment.

The Internet was touted as a learning tool to improve school grades, and parents used it to follow stocks and pay the bills.

Nobody seemed to be visiting questionable web sites, and MTV was all the rage, along with CNet.com.

In this video from 1997, the kids appear happy as they share their explorations and the parents are both understanding and trusty of their kids.

Considering how 17 years have passed since, the kids are now in their 30’s and the parents are close to retirement.

Don’t forget to adjust the VCR tracking for the clearest picture! 😀
