    Domain Mapping Problem

    Hello,

I have purchased a domain and want to map it with tumblr blog. Tumblr giving me two options 1st is A RECORD and 2nd is CNAME.

    tumblr.com/docs/en/custom_domains

But problem is that domain panel has not A RECORD option.

There are only 5 nameservers fields, I have entered the CNAME domains.tumblr.com but not accepted because it was not in internic.net database.

Now I m going to create my own nameserver ns1.domain.com, but it required an ip address, Here i m confusing about which ip address should be entered here, A RECORD 66.6.44.4 or something else, also suggest me how many nameservers i should create,

    Thanks in Advance,

The fields you are provided with are not for DNS records of this type but for you to specify the DNS servers of your domain. Unless the one who sold you the domain also provides such DNS management (in which case you should enter their DNS servers) you will need an external service handling DNS requests.
