Company Domain Movers From Target, NFL & More

Here is another round of company domain name movers with domain names purchase, registered or simply moving by some of the largest companies on the web.

NFL

Has had the help from MarkMonitor and grabbed the domain name NFLCombine.com on the drop.

Farmers Group, Inc

Is moving some domain names from MarkMonitor to CSC Corporate Domains. NoWorries.com is one of the movers, NextStar.com, FarmersFamilyFund.com and several HelpPointClaim domains. All the domains had a Zurich connection and no longer do in whois.

InSinkErator (Emerson)

Registered the domain name StopTheRaccoon.com and the typo StopTheRacoon.com . An August 6, 2014 on its Facebook page, InSinkErator and the Evolution Series disposer released the “Loud Raccoons” ad. The ad was published to YouTube on August 1, 2014.

The domain name StopTheRaccoons.com (plural) is displayed in the ad. That domain was registered on 3/3/2014. The domain forwards to the sub-domain stoptheraccoons.insinkerator.com

Diageo Plc

Registered the domain name WhistlerContest.com .

Diageo did run a contest for its Ciroc brand using CirocWhistler.com but this new domain registration is likely for another contest. They do own the brand Whistler Blackcomb, so it likely is for that.

Target Brands, Inc.

Registered the domain name SpotSomethingNew.com to continue with its “spot” (the dog) (the target) etc marketing.

Mondelez International, Inc.

Registered the domain name MummyHacks.com, likely for a Halloween related promotion.

Modern Times Group MTG AB

Was the buyer behind the MTG.com domain, likely purchased that I had noticed in an earlier article. The own MTG.se . They have set domain servers on MTG.com, but the domain doesn’t resolve at the time of posting. (my earlier findings on MTG.com)  with includes several details with names used etc during the purchase.

DFS Services LLC (Discover Card)

Registered the domain name DiscoverAchieve.com

Belzabar Software

Appears to have purchased Achieve.com on or about 12/5/2012. They are launching a new software product in fall of 2014 with the domain. They are running the domain under the company name: WebINTENSIVE Software. I checked into this domain related to the DiscoverAchieve.com domain registration.

Wonderful.com

Something is happening with the domain… Andrew Drexler owned the domain and then it was tied to NetSmart Inc and then the domain became attached to Mobile App Machine LLC. All of these companies appear to have ties directly to Andrew himself.

Mobile App Machine LLC recieved some funding in 2013 and I’m not sure if that company “sold” and the domain Wonderful went with it? If Wonderful.com became seperated from the companies or if Wonderful.com simply was sold by Andrew.

Wonderful.com did have “Wonderful Apps”, Native apps made by you and Tectonic Media Group on it at one point. Tectonic Media Group merged with Novus Select

Andrew has been connected in some way with Wonderful.com dating at least all the way back to 2002.

A clear potential buyer would be Pom and the PomWonderful brand if it did sell but I do not see a connection right now.

I have reached out to Andrew to see if he is able or willing to share any details and will update if I hear back.

One Technologies

Has purchased the domain name FreeScoresOnline.com via Sedo. The domain sold for $2,999

Sony Pictures

Has registered the domain name PainfullyRich.com and PainfullyRichMovie.com a likely clue to an upcoming movie.

Merck Sharp and Dohme Corp

Appears to have acquired the domain name LostSleep.com for an undisclosed amount. I have reached out to the seller and will update if I hear back.

Whistler Blackcomb are two ski resorts outside of Vancouver, they merger into one corporate entity in 1997. Diageo has been a Marketing Partner with Whistler Blackcomb (for Captain Morgan and Ciroc) as is probably looking to do the same for their other brands as a trade incentive or distributor program.
