    Smile ResellerClub PW Domains

    Hello,

We have multiple domains with ResellerClub which use .PW as the domain extensions (for example ilovebilling.pw) and they went down Friday evening without being touched, all of the .PW domains are down no matter what server they're on or running over

I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue as they're saying it's our fault even if we setup new domains (.com's, .net's) but try a .PW or a new one and it doesn't work.

None of the domains are resolving our clients to our companies which is why we're curious. We can't have broken any of the domains without touching them either

Something to do with your nameservers:

    http://intodns.com/ilovebilling.pw gives errors.

You are using in-bailiwick name servers, at least for ilovebilling.pw (ns1. and ns2.ilovebilling.pw).

A bit of digging reveals that ns1. and ns2. are, in fact, one server, not two (IP address 216.144.243.169), and that this server is not authoritative.

Well, I can only report what I can see using the usual tools. There is no DNS set up for ilovebilling.pw on the name server with IP address 216.144.243.169 (and you really don't want to host domain names on a single server in any event... that's like flying a twin-engined aircraft on one engine...)

It's only got that one site on that server so it's fine and incase of emergency just switch the dns to the next server which is sitting behind it! We have backups of the database's daily so we should be all fine

just tried to load the site now and it's back resolving as normal... strange

And if you have a power cut, or your upstream goes down, you're off the air.

That's why some TLDs - like .de - insist that you not only must have two name servers, but must have two name servers on different subnets.
