    SPF Record for a Domain Name

    I having a domain name with Godaddy, I am pointing the A record to Host1 and Pointing the MX record for Host2 for my email services.

    I try to send an email out, and found that the email fall into recipient junk/spam box. After check with the Host2. They mention that I should add SPF record for my domain name.

    Can any one guide me on this setting?

    You can find SPF record syntax and even examples here:
    http://www.openspf.org/SPF_Record_Syntax

    "v=spf1 mx -all" this one should do the trick.

    So just create a TXT entry for your domain which contains the SPF record, then test it with this: http://mxtoolbox.com/spf.aspx
    Uptime Monitor - Minimize your downtime by being the first to know about it!

    Blacklist Monitor - Are any of your IPs or Domains blacklisted? Find out before it gets to affect you or your clients.

    thanks for the sharing.

    I found my domain had this record:

    Code:
    v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ~all
    While xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the web server IP(HOST1)

    But my mx record is pointing at HOST2

    Question:
    When recipient receive email, I do aware that it no longer fall into junk. But from recipient point of view. They actually recognize my email is come from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (host1) or host 2?
