CentralNic announced the availability of the dot .Space gTLD by Radix, earlier today.
The dot .Space gTLD is aimed at becoming a multi-focus domain extension, for several industries and uses:
- Budding start-ups
- Hobbyists
- Entrepreneurs
- DIY home businesses
- Freelancers
- Entusiasts
Naturally, premium domain names such as Visit.Space have been reserved by Radix; the registration and annual cost for renewal is in the high four figures.
This, might constrain growth for the extension, as opposed to allowing every keyword as a “registration fee” domain. Radix defines dot .Space as:
“… a canvas for self starters and enthusiasts to express and share the panorama of their passion, ideas and talents with the world”
