I was going to try my luck on a flippa auction for about 11 domains...in 1 auction.

10 of them are within 1 year old...but one .com is 13 years old...but has low search volume/cpc.

Out of the 11 I think 2-3 are really good.....so I am on the fence as to which one to put in the header....the aged or the high .com/.net.

Here they are.........

greek doctors.com
13 years old ..... 140 search volume....no cpc

hawaii map.net
27,100 search volume....cpc....$3.21

plymouth canton schools.com
8,100 search volume....cpc....$18.28

I am willing to roll the dice and start at $1.00. no reserve auction, just not sure which one to list in the header to attract attention.

These won't do well on flippa.

I'd have to agree. I don't think these will sell. I think they're worth putting up a a couple of quick wordpress sites with some adsense text links though.

They simply aren't desirable domains.

Age has nothing to do with it. There are many old domains that are worthless. Age alone does not give a domain value. There is no shortage of aged domains, and end-users generally aren't interested in how old a domain is. There may be some benefits to an aged domain in search engine rankings, but when evaluating the value of a domain, there are many things that are much more important (such as who the potential end-users are).

I'm curious where you got the idea that age gives domains value? It is not an uncommon belief, but if you're looking to sell domains to end-users for thousands of dollars, they generally don't care about the age of the domain. Age is only important to a small subset of developers, and even then, there are factors which are much more important (such as the quality of backlinks).

It looks like most of the flippa domains that are selling are aged, so I thought that aged was highly desireable.

There is a correlation between age and quality, in that quality for-sale domains are usually aged, as they are not dropped.
Of course this does not make all aged domains valuable.
