Nice tool and I really liked it.

Yep, a nice simple and useful tool. The age data is often incorrect however.

Yep, a nice simple and useful tool. The age data is often incorrect however.

The Age data is taken from the Wayback Archive (the number of years that a website has been online at the domain) and not from the WhoIs record. I am planning to add the age data from the WhoIs record as well, so hopefully in the next version, there will be two age numbers in view.

Let me know if there are any other metrics that you would find useful.

FWIW PR is fairly useless since it hasn't been (and wont be) updated for over a year now. But the green bar is very easy to read. Visual indicators for DA, TF and CF would be nice and make scanning easier. Just a thought.

On the age issue - I went to Wayback for a couple of names and it was showing data going back much further than reported. Not sure how you pull age, but I suspect there's something odd going on there.

Again, well done on a nice tool. Now just add a snipping engine and it'll be perfect :)

The way the age value is determined from Wayback is like this - if there is a large gap of more than 18 months in the Wayback Archive, then the time before the large gap is not considered. What this means is that it is likely that for a long time the website was down, or had no updates and then a new website took its place. The age is then counted from when the new website was in place. So as an example if wayback shows records from the year 2000 to 2004 and then no records till 2006 and then shows records till a recent time, then the age is counted from 2006 - i.e. 9 years. (and not from 2000)

This number would actually work well with the real age from WhoIs and the two numbers could be renamed as "Age of website" and "Age of domain".

I agree that PR is useless. Unfortunately no other metric has yet come out on the top (I'm hoping TF does). By visual indicators for DA, TD, CF - do you mean a green bar (the way it is shown for PR) for each of them?

Definitely going to think of integrating a sniping engine. Godaddy has a pretty nice API for it.

Thanks for the feedback. This is exactly what I need right now.

P.S. In case you have not checked out the highlighting feature, do so. It really helps save time.

Why is it I only see DomCop, Moz, Majestic, when I use your tool, but you show much more in your example above?

The widgets (DomCop, Moz, Majestic etc) are shown only if there is data for the domain from those providers. For e.g. If a domain does not have an Alexa Rank, the Alexa widget is not shown. Same with the SEMrush, and Social data.

If there is a domain that you feel has this data and is not showing it correctly, do let me know. If its a code issue, I'll make sure to fix it and let you know about it.

OK. I try to look for examples. But it would seem to me, that at least some of the many domains I've used the tool on would have some of these stats.

Definitely going to think of integrating a sniping engine. Godaddy has a pretty nice API for it.

Problem with their API is that it has to be enabled on a per-account basis, and it's a manual process. They don't give access to API willy-nilly. So even if you get access that only allows you to use methods that affect your own account. Users would each have to apply, and I don't think they want to give mass access.

FWIW you can also snipe via frontend website. That's what current sniping engines do - they log in to frontend and set your bid using same method as a manual bid.

Just a suggestion. I know these measures are based on a score, but it's far easier to see the green bar than it is to read each and every digit. Not suggesting a green bar, but something visual to help scanning would be better IMO.

Could you also implement this for ExpiredDomains.net?

Thanks. I'll try and figure out a compact UI with some color indicators for the metrics in the next version.

Do you mean an addon that shows metrics on ExpiredDomains.net? Technically this could be done. I am unsure about the business ethics of it though.

Just want to let you all know that there is currently an issue with the Social Share metrics API. None of the domains currently show this widget. Once this is fixed, I will update the status here.

I've also got domains showing with 0 DomCop and MajesticSEO data. Why aren't these data blocks being hidden, the same as the SemRush and Alexa data blocks, carlasalon.com is an example.

Good catch. The top widgets (DomCop, Majestic and Moz) are always shown irrespective of the data. This was done to solve a UI issue to force the popup to always be have three columns and be wide enough.

Then I don't see any reason to hide the other 0 entry blocks. I know I for one would be happier seeing 0's and see the blocks, than to be left wondering whether your app is working correctly or not. It also doesn't make sense (to me) to treat certain blocks one way (purely for a layout issue) and then treat other blocks differently.

That's a good point. I'll disable the auto-hiding feature in the next version of the add-on.

I've just noticed a problem with this tool. If you cut and past a list of domains and post them in a domain cleaner. The domain when cleaned becomes domain.comDA: instead of just domain.com. This is not good. You need to get a space between the ".com" and the "DA:"

Thanks for pointing this out. I'll make sure that this is changed in the next update.

Can you tell me which software you use as a domain cleaner, so that I can make sure to test it works as intended.
