It’s A Domain Fact! Coke Vs. Pepsi! According to DomainTools.com, as of 2/21/2015 PepsiCo, Inc owns 2,792 domain names and The Coca-Cola Company owns 6,631. (totals are displayed matching the registrant orginzations name). Coke.com was registered on July 7, 1997 while Pepsi.com was registered January 14, 1993. Once again, they both win!

AmazonAirDrone.com and AmazonPrimeAirDrone.com have been registered by Amazon Technologies. There is potential that Amazon has purchased the AirDrone.com domain name, as it went into privacy protection at GoDaddy on 6/11/2014. The last whois record shows the domain was owned by a Jason Schultz of California. The domain still holds a Sedo listing but that isn’t uncommon to have a domain that is no longer for sale to have a for sale listing page as Sedo struggles to have accurate listings for domains really for sale.

Amazon also registered the terms PrimeAirDrone.com and PrimeAirAmazon.com .

A currently unknown company registered what appear to be some interesting domains… and those include TaskForceDeathPanel.com along with the .net / .org as well as GovernmentDeathPanel.com .net / .org . GovernmentRationingScreening.com, RationingYourHealthcare.com etc.

Allergan, Inc. gets the long dong domain of the day award with BrilliantDistinctionsConsumerLoyaltyProgram.com a domain that was registered in 2009 and appear to working on a new website of some sort. The domain redirects to BDConsumerLoyalty.com and a We’re Sorry page… likely saying sorry for the long domain!

Energizer Personal Care is getting a new name and they have secured the EMD of the new name… Edgewell.com. Edgewell.com is announcing the new name and the reason behind it on the new domain. The change is set to take place in July 2015. MarkMonitor’s DNStination Inc. was used to help secure the domain name which has been registered since July 24, 2002.

MarkMonitor registered Edgewell.net on November 17, 2014 so this would appear to be about when they secured the .com as the whois for the .com changed from a Julia Beardwood to DNStination Inc. on November 22, 2014. The domain has a listing price of $1,999 via Sedo but that listing still remains.

RetailCashChain.com was registered by Glory Global Solutions (International) Limited. Glory deals with money handling, cash management, vending and automatic service solutions.

ZoloTV.com was registered by Telephone and Data Systems, Inc / TDS Broadcasting LLC

Honor.com which is owned by First Data Corporation and had a website on the domain name… the website is now gone and the domain name is now redirecting to FirstData.com and the specific page http://www.firstdata.com/en_us/about-first-data/careers-home/commitment-to-our-veterans.html I am unsure the reason for them removing the site that was on Honor.com but they did.

ZeroHeartburn.com has been acquired by The Procter & Gamble Company from a Ted Bulger. The transaction appears to have taken place on or about 12/17/2014 with the help of CSCCorporation Domains. The domain was registered at GoDaddy. The domain has now transferred to CSC and has displayed P&G as the owners. CSC used the email address [email protected] when the domain transferred into its GoDaddy account. I have seen this email address used before. I have sent Ted an email to see if he can share hisstory and will update if I hear back.

P&G has used the term “Zero Heartburn” in advertisements for its Prilosec OTC product and Larry The Cable Guy endorsing it. I tried to find when this ad campaign launched and it appears it launched September 1, 2003? According to the WSJ and this article which explains that P&G was being sued for false advertisement.  The domain name ZeroHeartburn.com was registered September 15, 2006 but was also registered prior to that with being removed from the registry twice. Ted has owned the domain since 2006.

BackyardBeliever.com and BeABackyardBeliever.com have been registered by Johnson & Johnson, owners of over 42,000 domain names! They also registered a wide variety of “Wipe For Water” domain names like WipeForWater.com, Wipe4Water.com etc.

BackstageGems.com was registered by Disney Enterprises, Inc.

PayPlan.org has been purchased by Totemic Ltd Financial Services which is based in the UK. BuyDomains.com owned the domain prior and I wasn’t able to find a sales price.

VerisignDomainContest.com was registered by Verisign. They seem to run contests pretty often, and are currently running one for .com domains on VerisignInternetOfficial.com which does a feature of Michael Berkens on the site, as well as others. A few people can win some cash…

Godlike.com has been sold at Sedo by the past owners Godlike Technologies to a currently unknown buyer. The domain has been registered since 1997. A sales price has not been made public yet.
