Hi Federer,

I just recently sold a half year old three word (15 letter) cloud name for 5K. While Online Cloud would logically sound better to me, Cloud Online has better brandability, it is aged and uses well known keywords that make it memorable. I would say look for offers no less than 5 figures.

Regards,
Dimitris

Hi,

I`m not an expert, but I would say above $10k.

It has good keywords and in my opinion it is a great domain.

Great Name... You are holding this long time :)

I'm not a pro to give appraisal but yeah great name and will fetch $12K to $15K.

I'm sure that you already asked twice or more before this appraisal in cloud thread.

@gilescoley may give you better appraisal for this one.

P.S.
Its always great to see your sales list in Report thread. Wishing you another best sale for this name.

I bought domains which some pros here said "DELETE it" ....

I sold it +$xxxx

I think your domain is brandable... which depends on the enduser desire

not expert to appraise it... But wish you a great sale

Hey Federer

I wouldn't sell for less this for less than $25k

I think it could go for more though if you are patient

Good luck

Ok, I am going to put my foot in my mouth....

Only someone who does not know cloud computing will use this for a major site. I am surprised, no make that shocked, Xcerion owns onlinecloud, must be from that dark ages when cloud computing was a new wonder, wonder if they ever used it actively?

This one seems an oxymoron to me...I am not saying this will not sell..but I don't see how a tech company is going to spin it. Cloud and Online? Cloud is always online. The point of cloud is to be on 24x7 and it scales.

@gilescoley I really do admire you for your sales, but that is not a $25K domain :) Did you miss a . ;)

P.S I want to delete my post because the NP crowd is going to make me eat my words in few months but I will let this be. ( NP crowd, PLEASE be gentle on me when this sells, please...specially @gilescoley )

oops, for some strange reason, mid way in the thread I forgot who owns the domain, and thought someone who had replied owns it ... post edited for same.

Don't worry, what you just said has been already written by some of us in the 2014 appraisal....maybe it will be said again in the 2016 one..

ok, lets see what happens, I shall be gentle :D:D..it depends how patient the OP is, I have a lot sold worse cloud names for between 5K-15K

....and then again, I could be totally wrong

@photonmymind....it doesnt matter how often people ak for appraisals on their names, if people really dont want to comment, they dont have to...

Hi Federer I know you identify and approach endusers so you probably know what sort of interest there is already - are you trying to make up your mind about an offer?

I agree this name repeats itself and I don't find it attractive at all, but in some ways that is good because the added word does not narrow the domain's focus. Also domains can seem very different to speakers of other languages. What are an enduser's alternatives and what would they cost?

I'd suggest minimum 15k.

I wonder what cloud online would actually mean if it meant something?

A way to connect to the cloud, or monitor clouds, or backup or restore them?

Something to do with availability.

Or cloud not as a cloud at all, but as a brand like Soundcloud.

The name is overvalued in my opinion. It's not a good brandable at all (it's two related words) and the two words are kind of redundant - cloud online? No, I'd rather deal with Cloud Offline?

Better cloud names have dropped. imho. and certainly available cheaper.
Someone somewhere will be stupid enough to use this name as a business and probably overpay for it. Nothing unusual about that.

Basically, there's a sucker born every minute and anyone stupid enough to pay $10K+ for this deserves what they get. A perfectly adequate and average name.

Anyone stupid enough to pay $25K for this name deserves what they get. Still a perfectly adequate and average name.

It is highly sellable, easy 2-5k to a domain investor. The value is 5k+ to a true end user, but at that point I run into the same problem others have stated.. cloud + online is redundant. Beyond this point is a mystery, but on the low end rest assured of at least 2-5k to another investor whether here or on an auction platform, possibly more.

As so many have said it is worth $10K or more, so I am posting this question, coz I want to understand...

Why not list it for auction with a reserve price? Would that not get the required idea about market price?

or even better, why not give it to a broker?

All Im saying is what I think it is worth to someone, Im not saying they arent an idiot to pay that figure

I certainly wouldnt pay what I appraised it at if I was starting a cloud company, I would find a better brandable name.

Why not list it for auction with a reserve price

You wont get the best price sending this to auction, you have to wait for someone who wants it to come knocking. How many cloud companies/startups would see this name if it on auction at Sedo/Godaddy etc......absolutely 0?? Patience is key with names like this.....just hold onto it

There were at least 644 "cloud" sales. So around $10k is a good ask. Also mind upcoming cloud.online.

Thanks for your advice and opinions concerning the possible value of this domain.

We have decided to set up an auction (no reserve) at Flippa; we'll see how it goes.

dnt forget to drop a link to the auction

we decided? you don't need to speak in plural here...

and it's not nice - to say the least - to post the same question over and over here.

why are you trying to look like a newbie/fool? you know already that that domain is not worth that much so stop trying to find a dummy here to pay you $10k or more. go for flippa. you already know it's the way to go.
