Hello all,

A quick question, how many genuine domain inquiries do you get a month? I average a little less than 1/month. Some translate into sales, some don't.

I read in one of the domain blogs (forgot which!), that he gets about 10-15 inquiries per day. That seems quite a lot for me.

What about you? And how do these inquires come about for you? Through your parked pages/whois or your own landing page?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Obviously this one is really going to depend on your quality (or maybe even quantity) of your domains. I only get a couple people a month who find me to make an offer or show interest. Most of my sales come from proactively marketing and finding the end user myself. Those getting multiple offers each day probably have that happening on great one-word or short LLL .com domains, or they have an extremely big portfolio like HugeDomains.

don't compare yourself, to what other people get

it will fizz-zuck with your mind and it's something not to be concerned with

be happy with .whatever volume you receive and try to make best of each contact.

but as FPForum says, it depends on number and quality of names in your portfolio.

imo....

Agreed with the above, just because you don't get any it doesn't mean your domains are no good.

I personally don't rely on inquiries coming to me. This is fairly unreliable, the only way you'll stand a decent chance of a sale is by contacting end-users yourself. Many won't know there are better opportunities for them, and may not even know how to find them. It's up to you to present it to them.

I receive 0 per month. I also don't hold onto domains long enough for it to matter.
