Domain Movers: DEH.com, Amap.com & More

Welcome to an early insiders look at some recent domain name movers detected by DotWeekly.com, with most domains included in the list being registered or acquired by large companies!

These domains often lead to new products, services, brands and more…. here we go!

It’s A Domain Fact! One 3 letter .com domain name was removed (dropped) from the registry in 2014, that was ZFN.com which was grabbed by DropCatch.com and sold for $7,850.

CreditSavvy.com has been acquired by AHL Investments Pty Limited. The transaction took place according to whios records on September 5, 2014 when whois changed to Jessica Yang of AHL. In an interesting twist… I even found a MEME of the potential contact/place of purchase from the seller?

CreditSavvy.com was registered at Fabulous.com and didn’t expire until 2017 and was parked with DomainNameSales.com at the time of the sale. I would think the “Wolf of GoDaddy Auctions” may represent that the domain was likely purchased in an auction lising by the seller at GoDaddy.

BringTheQuiet.com has been registered by Unilever Plc

Amap.com appears to have changed ownership? The domain has went in and out of whois privacy but now the domain has transferred into MarkMonitor under the ownership of Autonavi Software Co., Ltd.

HiddenShadows.com was purchased from HugeDomains.com (back around 5/30/2013) when whois changed to Robin Lewis [email protected] and then going into privacy at GoDaddy. It remained that way until March 9, 2015 when the domain transferred to MarkMonitor and is using generic whois data DNStination Inc. This is a Zynga owned domain name as the domain was used for the Hidden Shadows game in early 2014. It is now redirecting to a 404 Error page to https://zynga.com/game/playhiddenshadows

Bacardi and Company Limited has registered the domain name UltimateGinTonic.com

VoiceWorld.com has transferred ownership from Vocollect, Inc. to Honeywell International Inc. Intermec acquired Vocollect for $190 Million and Honeywell acquired Intermec in 2013 for about $600 Million.  Tracking tracks…. so the domain was part of Intermec’s assets which was acquired from Vocollect Inc., which was acquired by Honeywell.

Bayer AG has registered the domain name InventingForYou.com | .net. They also registered, NewInjector.com, NewAutoInjector.com and NewBetaSeronInjector.com

AstraZeneca AB registered several domain names relating to its Nexium brand and a likely new “powder pack”. Some of those included NexiumPackets.com, NexiumPacks.com, NexiumPowder.com, NexiumPowderPackets.com, NexiumSachet.com, NexiumSchets.com, NexiumOS.com and NexiumOralSolutions.com

NYCCare.com appears to have been acquired from Susan Wattstein-Angelis by EmblemHealth, Inc. The domain has been registered since 2002 and has since transferred into CSC CORPORATE DOMAINS, INC. out of NameJuice.com.

U-Haul International, Inc. registered the domain name UhaulCollegeBoxes.com and UhaulsCollegeBoxes.com

Sicd.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client from TradeNames.com. It appears the transaction took place at Afternic as the domains registrant data switched to Afternic Escrow on 3/4/2015.

WorldWideInvestor.net has been registered by John Hancock Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.) and WorldWideInvestor.com happens to currently be in Afternic Escrow. The .com had a listing price of $4,288 and was owned by BuyDomains. John Hancock is VERY likely the buyer of the .com

InfinityOfThings.com has been registered by Brightstar Corporation. They also registered the domain names ServingWireless.com | .net | .org

CSC Corporate Domains has used DropCatch.com to help secure the domain name BulbHeads.com for a currently unknown client. The domain was grabbed on 12/22/2014. Interesting to note, CSC also registered BulbHeads.com on 10/3/2014 and the .info on the same day. With those registration, it could easily drive up the price paid for the .com… but I’m not sure if the domain was backordered by others and went to auction or they got the domain with just the successful backorder price.

Domain Capital has sold the domain name DEH.com via Sedo for $28,000 EUR to a currently unknown buyer.

NoBlurryVision.com has been registered by Novarits AG.

WingFinder.com has been acquired on behalf of a currently unknown MarkMonitor client. The domain was owned by HugeDomains.com and was registered on May 20, 2010.

  1. Another great post SIR!!! keep up the good investigative work.

Those 3L domains are pretty worthless, all hypes. If they have not been used long time ago, they have not found a use for it and that why they are being “recycled” to the market place.
It is all hypes on the 3L that don’t make sense.

Here what to learn, all it takes is MONEY…save them, earn them, go find a way to get that MONEY and buy a good domain.

I prefer to buy a good 2 wordy domain that makes sense!!

dot whatever is so freaking use- lessssss!! They will bring you more miseries and headaches!!.
