Hi,

Is .biz still alive or dead? Do you drop your .biz domains or renew?

Thanks.

Were they ever alive? lol. Name depending, but the safe answer is to "drop" em'.

The .BIZ extension is ever dying I would say.. At one time LLL.biz and some premium words would hold some value, but those have virtually no value anymore. There are premium one word and LLL biz domains dropping all the time these days. I would probably not renew unless it was really premium, something like Hosting.biz, Debt.biz, Casinos.biz..etc.

I feel a bit sorry for all those suckers stuck with .biz

Always had great results for developed .biz.
Obviously I would not register any for resale purpose

They are dead unless its a one word with high search volume.

Checking sales report, let you know if it is dead or still alive.

I like .bz better than .bizz. Both are being promoted as business.

Not the best method to determine if some extension is live or not, just how popular it is on the main platforms.
Michael Owen is still alive, but not popular as he used to be ;)

Get premium name in .biz and try to sell it to end users. Only then you will get correct answer on your question.
Personally, I don't like .biz, but have some and am happy with them. Already sold some to end users. It is solid extension. Not very good, but not dead either.

I buy .biz domains for cheap price only. Sell and PM me what you got.

I'd argue that .biz is dead and .info is currently dying.. these tlds will follow the route that .name and .mobi took.. and .mobi will be as dead as a doornail within the next few years.

You're wrong, look at this (2015 one-word .info domain sales):

car.info 76,000 USD
area.info 6,888 USD
slots.info 30,000 USD
kino.info 11,300 USD
tickets.info 14,000 USD

.info is certainly not dying. If anything, I think it is seeing a revival. Sold quite a few myself. And see several .infos actualy develop into outstanding content websites.

Congrats. What I meant to imply is that in my opinion I think that .info will be on the road to a long, slow death soon.

yeah.. but with the better ngtlds coming out.. I think we will soon start to notice the long, slow death of .info. The fact is that most people in the world aren't even aware yet that the 2014 and 2015 ngtlds exist

Also if you check Sedo, you will notice that alot of .biz Domains has got a huge number of offers.

But with my understand of how Sedo works.. those bids could be as old as Sedo itself is. I don't think it ever resets! My guess is most of the bids on .biz on Sedo would be from the period in the past, 2001 - 2013

I see. But we are talking about top tier keywords such as sex, credit, auto, gold...
And the names remain unsold to this day. There must be a huge gap between the actual bids, and the expectations of the owners.
You don't see a lot of reported .biz sales. And this is a TLD that has been losing registrations - not a good sign.

Yes, but the number of offers give a sign of the interesting in.
