.Green went though a long and winding road leading up to the launch of .Green and yesterday was the first day a .Green could be registered on a first come, first served basis otherwise known general availability.
After the first day of GA including those domain names registered by trademark holders in Sunrise and those who paid an extra fee to register in Landrush, there are 771 domain registrations.

The new GTLDs could be doing a whole lot better if some of the quality ones gave a damn about these few points (in no particular order)

1) Price points, reserved listings and premium listings ... Farmer.Market for ~$3,499 with same yearly renewal.... uhmmmm no!
2) Provide some innovation. They could have learned a lot from the .TV relaunch a few years back.
3) Marketing... even pooling resources for a group promo outside the domaining realm would be an industry benefit
4) Sponsors: especially with something like .Green which could easily have built an altruistic base. Imagine: Visit Youtube.Green or Go.Green promotion
