I accepted a "first time user" bid yet I haven't paid me.. So.. technically yes, but don't be surprised if something's go wrong.

Not only the Bidders, but also the offers coming from the new users are acceptable. New Users, or no Feedback Flippa Members does not mean they wont buy our asset, since everyone has a first time bidding, first time offering, or first time buying.

What if someone has a 'not good' feedback?
You can also take it positively, there is nothing wrong in accepting bids. As such no risk, since a single bid can lead you to more bids from many other users.
Secondly, there is a sales page where you can communicate, frankly ask about why their buyer/seller has given a negative feedback. Sometimes it may happen due to their interaction with non-serious buyers/sellers or there may be many reasons.

Yes, I will surely accept the bid on 99.99% instances, if I receive bid on my listings.

It also gives you an opportunity to send them a message and feel out their interest.

It's all about the bids baby...lol. But like @Beezy said, just shoot them a message before accepting.

I agree with everyone else. Flippas feedback policy is flawed imo. They make you wait 7 days to leave feedback... Most of my transactions are done in the 1st day so now I have to remember to come back in 7 days???

You're sent an email notification when you are allowed to leave feedback, as well as when the other user has. There's not much to remember lol. I don't see really any flaws w/ their feedback system, works like any other marketplace. And they've recently made it more transparent, showing past sales and linked accounts that reach further back. If anything, they are improving it.

Why wait 7 days? What other marketplace can you not leave feedback immediately after the transaction is done?
And don't think I am dissing Flippa... I am on there everyday but it gets annoying when buyers and sellers ask for me to leave them feedback everyday up to the 7 days. Maybe that just happens to me and my transactions...

I always send the new bidders a message, let me know a bit about yourself, who are you, how do you intend to pay for the transaction if you win... Then it depends on their answer, if they are being a**holes like what does it matter who I am and what not then they don't get approved.. Especially in higher amount deals..

Use the message feature, you can learn a lot with it ;)

I didn't say you were dissing Flippa/mean it that way, I actually agree w/ you on the 7 day waiting period. Personally, I'd rather leave feedback immediately just to get it out of the way, but I just don't find it too difficult to remember w/ email reminders. I suppose it's implemented for some level of protection, although chargebacks can be made far after, and even pulling back the name. I would think that it's more so implemented for the website side, so the buyer has the time to look over the merchandise...maybe deters them from leaving positive feedback in haste.

In theory yes, however I have had 3 unpaid auctions from accepting such, so I ask the possible bidder some questions now. One did not reply, therefore...

I think Flippa's buyer credentials for security are quite weak, with a small buyer limit and a premium buyer.
Sure, it makes it easy for buyers, which is what they want; but not the most confident seller.

Yes. I have done it a few times and I think I will keep doing it.

Make sure you send a message to the bidders and see if they respond before approving bids. This isn't fool proof but it'll weed out those who won't bother to respond to the seller's messages.

True everyone on Flippa needs to be verified so there would be no deadbeats. And If a verified buyer fails to pay then the seller should get back more credits than what they had spent. Some sellers spend money to promote the auction on other domain related websites and they don't get the money back if the auction falls through.

Yes. Doing so helps the visibility of my auction.

Yes. Especially on early stages, they can launch the game.
