Pheenix changed to public auctions?

NameSilo
Watch
Hey all.

I've noticed that Pheenix now has a marketplace/auctions where everyone has the opportunity to place bids for names they may be interested in.

So did they change their style from Private to Public auctions for backorders?

As far as I know, what you mention is their new expiring domains auctions.
Their policy for private auctions hasn't changed.
In case there is more than one backorder for pending delete domain, there will be a private auction.
Quote from their ToS:
"In the event that we obtain registration rights for a requested domain name, and there is more than one backorder request by multiple parties for the same domain name, you understand and agree that an auction will commence immediately after we have obtained the registration rights for the domain name. You understand and agree that the auction will be Private ("Private Auction")You also understand and agree that participation for these Private Auctions is limited to those parties who have submitted backorder requests for the selected domain name ahead of time"

I believe their "shop" names are expiring domains.

Ok makes sense...I was just hoping it wasn't a public auction because we all know how fierce the competition can get with those.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Pheenix totally rippped me off! I was late paying for some drops they caught but I went in and did pay for them. But they still wont hand over the names. Not only that they took all my other names from the account (except 1). I think they must have sold them (or the owner wants to keep them for himself).

Use this "company" at your peril.
