One word name for web host website

Found a name which doesn't really describe anything but its a noun like EG. Blue, car, Speed. The .co.uk domain is available on this.

Would this one word be okay for hosting company name? And we want to serve worldwide but based in uk so will .co.uk be okay?

If you're going international, try and get an international domain..

If you are based in the UK, I don't see why not. Although it would be good to get a .com version if it's available. You could always redirect one to the other.

There's some sincere disadvantages to this. SEO is a massive problem when you've got a dictionary based domain name -- for ex., 'hostgator' is easy to find via google. Unless you explicitly search for 'blue web hosting' (using that as an example), you won't find your dictionary based hosting co.

Then, factor in brand confusion. If you own 'blue.co.uk' (or, whichever misc. domain you're getting) suddenly you've got blue hosting, bluehost, blue web hosting, blue web space, and three thousand other brands crapping all over your reputation. Going the 'google' & yahoo route and making a word is likely superior.

We noted this when we swapped from fusednetwork.com -> fused.com many moons ago. There's some big advantages to having a nice clean brand name however, but, search engine advantages, and, preventing squatters/reputation destruction are tedious.

Having a domain name which is not related to anything in your business is not a good idea. It could cause a SEO difficulties. .co.UK is not so bad. If you are in UK why not. But international domain is better if it is not principal for you change it for .com or .net.

I'd recommend not using a .co.uk domain, unless you're in the UK and targeting only UK customers.

I also agree that a related or niche based name with .com domain will be good for seo. But I see some company using dictionary name. You may know about https://asmallorange.com/ . see more about this company at google . Then I hope you have to compare what you should do or not.

As they said, it won't be a good idea. I still prefer a domain name which is related to your business. SEO will be your problem when you choose this type of domain.

I think that is a good idea for any project. There are some nice successful examples. Just example: "Apple"

.com has been the standards of web company. It helps to establish a brand name. Go for .com if available.

Sure, I think it's OK. I think businesses who choose their appropriate ccTLD (especially .co.uk) are a bit more personal. Also, a 'unique' term is possibly more appealing than a generic term describing the industry you're in.
