Helpful tip: Vowels (A, E, I, O, U) hold the lowest value in the Chinese market, with consonants holding the highest, except V.

  1. Personally I believe this to be a bad market. LLL.coms are way overinflated because of owners of large lots of LLL.coms running up auction prices on purpose. Schilling says he does it himself and so do others. The easy manipulation of prices is one of the biggest problems with domain investing.

    1. So you are publicly accusing Frank Schilling of fraud and even claiming that he and others have publicly admitted it?

And the owner of this blog is going to allow this? This is my first day on this blog, never saw it before the item I replied to first here.

      1. @John,
I have addressed it. “Todd” didn’t state “Frank” but anybody in the domain space is going to relate “Schilling” to Frank… so I have asked for him to provide proof to his statement.

        1. Naturally, and thanks for doing that, Jamie. It may be a small obscure blog post now, but I definitely regarded this as having potentially very serious and big implications for the industry and hence all of us. “Domainers” and “domain investors” already have to deal with public flack, much of it distorted nonsense, but some of it based on fact. “Schilling” is of course one of the biggest players in the industry, and eventually anyone in the general public might be able to see this blog and this thread no matter how small and obscure a voice in the universe a post like that might be right now. That’s all we need is for people and business out there doing some research to have found something like that unchallenged in a forum like this.

        2. Jamie, P.S. – That’s also exactly how I got here and discovered your blog for the first time today, just a quick simple news check that probably took only seconds.

    2. @Todd,
I’m not the police but those are pretty strong claims, so It would be a good idea to back it up with facts that “Schilling” who I assume you mean Frank? said this. (link to story)

      1. @Jamie

I apologize I misspoke in my comment. Frank didn’t say he did it but he did say this

“there are three letter guys that want to protect the value of their three letter portfolios so they try to bid up three letters, you know what I mean”

Domain Sherpa interview at 45:54 you can hear what he said. Link below

  2. Why do you want to buy when the prices are high? Put in stocks.

These 3LLLs just like the new Gtlds are all Freaking hypes.

    Hypes by owners.

    Bogus ,schilling, scams.

    1. And you are going to effectively accuse Frank Schilling of fraud and misconduct, too, with you last statement? And this is going to be allowed here?

  3. I would be very careful with low priced LLL .com’s in the Chinese domain aftermarket in particular. Some can be stolen and laundering them is the easiest way for the perpetrators to make money fast.

    1. Good advice Acro. It is always a good idea to investigate a domain before buying. Google the exact domain in quotes, any odd activity on it via whois etc.

      1. Simple rule for this is to not buy from anyone who owns domain name for less than 6 months. To be safe, you can go with 1 year.

        1. Couldn’t disagree more. Makes no logical sense either. If someone offered you credit.club for $500 one days after registration, you would not take it because of how long the person had it? Same for a valuable .com? To be consistent, your answer has to be yes, and your position here makes no sense.

          1. If you find a LLL .com for $5k right now and blindly buy it without extensive due diligence, be prepared to wake up every day worrying it might be reclaimed.

Current price trends guarantee that there are no cheap LLL .com domains to be acquired without an inherent issue with ownership.

      2. Oh, just noticed you are also the owner and publisher of this blog. So, let me get this straight – you are really going to allow people to just blithely and publicly accuse Frank Schilling by name of fraud and misconduct in the industry here on your blog?

    2. And you, the one who can’t bear to have a guy like me posting without being known and think that’s so important, you are not going to call anyone out here for publicly accusing Frank Schilling of serious fraud and misconduct in the industry while such statements are simply allowed to appear on this blog? Really? You?

      1. Learn to quote the person you’re disagreeing with properly next time, your comments are all over the place.

        1. And by the way, Raider not only kicked your arrogant behind regarding what was done to her, but Adam’s as well. Both of you were exposed by her for colossal fail. Next time it comes up I’m not staying out of it.

          1. As far as I know Raider is still banned and the only ass that was kicked was hers off DNForum. But really, you came here to troll because you think you can?

          2. Yes, it’s called “abuse of power,” among other things. And it looks like someone still needs to go back to school to learn what it really means to be a “troll,” the same person who likes to make up his own private definition for something when it suits his purpose, that is:

          3. Just be up-front that you have a man crush for me, since you follow me around. You’re barking up the wrong tree, Johnny boy.

            LMFAO.

          4. Well if I thought you actually meant a single letter of that last attempt right down to the last punctuation mark instead of just the typical dishonesty and PR tactics practiced in the “forums” and such (thanks for bringing back those memories) I guess I might also say someone will now have to instruct you on words like “narcissism,” “paranoia,” and “delusion,” too. But fortunately I don’t, so I won’t. Now take the last word or the last acro-nym and if I think it doesn’t need further reply I’ll be done here.

  4. Nice write-up Jamie. I should’ve used a letter for my last name on that last post about supply/demand now that I see there are a few John’s floating around on comments.

    1. Howdy, John. šŸ™‚ In my case I’m so far distinguishable by my “gravatar,” which you could look into, too. Hopefully no other John starts using the same one, however. šŸ™‚

      1. So let’s recap what exactly was your ‘contribution’ today in this exchange:

        1. Misquoted me over what someone else said about Frank Schilling – use the Reply link next time.
        2. Disagreed with no backing of your claim, that it’s ok to find great deals on domains with much higher intrinsic value – that was the point of my comment here, which you grossly trolled ad nauseam.
        3. Referenced someone else who was banned on DNForum – completely unrelated with the argument.
        4. Posted a link to a comment I made 4 months ago on another blog in an attempt to prove that my argument here is incorrect.

Don’t forget to post this link on another forum, 4 months from now, in order to continue with your tinfoil hat ‘contributions’.

        1. 1. You are delusional, Arcro. I never quoted you at all, and used every single “reply” link that was available here. I will send $10,000 by PayPal to anyone who can substantiate your delusion that I quoted you or “misquoted” you here even once.

          2. You are delusional again, and I have no idea what you are referring to. The nearest it would seem that your ranting and raving in #2 could be referring to would be that I expressed a simple disagreement at 2:41 pm with the “Simple rule” expressed by Mike, and wasn’t even replying to you at all.

          3. LOL. Yes, Acro, that’s what prefacing a remark with “And by the way,” tends to mean – that someone is about to give you something “completely unrelated” as you put it, because they want to and feel there is a good reason to. Fail.

          4. Epic fail, again. Well not quite, but definitely to demonstrate a notable pattern of yours which you have exhibited here as well in your continued and obsessive love affair with misusing the term “troll” and applying it when it suits you.

But what did I actually do here, aside from deal with you and your ways?

Well, I was the one who caught and called out some extremely serious and seriously problematic posting by not one but two people, posting which not only had serious and egregious implications for the famous person being referenced, but ultimately for the whole industry and everyone of us who participates in it as well.

All you have done is embarrass yourself here, Acro. But nonetheless I do occasionally enjoy some of your own blog posts. One thing I’ve learned in life is that no matter how bad the other person is they may still have something you can use. And yes, Raider completely destroyed you and exposed correctly and exactly what everyone did underneath the bull-spit when she recounted it and linked to the relevant material over at DI. Wish I had said that then and hope she sees this.

          1. Get back on your stronger meds, John.

If you can’t read your own comments here to see how you took one serious comment – mine – regarding low priced LLL .com and turned it into a reproduction of your cesspool filled mind, then you need to ask your MD to up the dosage.

The problem with anonymous trolls like you is that you falsely believe the hatchet won’t fall eventually. It did for Raider, and it will happen again for everyone that breaks the rules.

          2. That’s right, Acro, keep doubling down on your embarrassment in front of the whole world including your “peers” and the whole domain investing and domain related industry. Everyone in the industry who’s ever dealt with you and witnessed your behavior and mentality since all the way back through early years of DNF knows the truth about you, regardless of whether some big names in the domain space have decided to coddle and protect you for whatever misguided reasons some apparently do; and everyone also knows what kind of super-abundant avalanche of “dislikes” you would have over at DomainInvesting.com by now, for example, if Elliot hadn’t removed the ability to do that on his blog, something even you know based on your own posting about it there before he did that. Keep kidding yourself, Acro, but as for me I’ll be quite happy just for the black and white words to remain up and visible on this blog for all posterity.
