Wrongside : Cleveland.Rocks is an overpriced domain at $55,000 dollars

Rightside is getting some positive publicity with the sale of Autism.Rocks for a reported $100,000 dollars.

Let’s not forget Elliot Silver‘s cause-driven registration of TeamSilver.Rocks to benefit the Dana-Farber cancer research institute.

While the use of “rocks” is rather outdated, we still like this late 90’s buzzword, as much as “far out” from the 70’s and “rad” from the 80’s.

The case of Cleveland.Rocks is a whole different story, however, as Rightside wants $55,000 bucks for this “premium” domain.

CLEVELAND-ROCKS

Cleveland.Rocks is priced at $55,000 dollars.

Dudes, like, seriously?

If the Cleveland Cavaliers had won the NBA final, that might have been the case. Like, totally. But since LeBron James isn’t really the biggest basketball player of all time, the asking price is unwarranted.

We still love the Drew Carey Show, however, where the song “Cleveland Rocks” by the Presidents of the United States of America played as the opening titles theme song.

Totally dope, bro.

Until Rightside drops their asking price for Cleveland.Rocks substantially, we’ll just use Yes.WTF.
