So I'm not a total noob to buying domains, I have maybe 20. But I've been really confused by some two letter .io domains. I know they exist and are all "taken", but many of them yield blank whois record: No expiration, no name, nothing.
At first I thought you just couldn't register io domains that short, but from what I understand you could, at least at one point. I've never come across this, and I was interested in buying one of them in particular. Does this mean there is basically no way to buy such a domain? Some examples are bn.io, cx.io, and a ton of others.
Could someone enlighten me on what's going on?
