let's say john smith writes me to buy my domain along lines of... JStrademark.com

makes no offer. I was able to tell its his initials in front of keyword from his email address.

I have little experience selling so decided to ask here instead of over or underdoing things..

would you say it's better to reply with buynow price or reply asking for his offer?

and, what could be the price of such item in your views? as in, the general priciing pattern of something for a company of one person or more, which this most likely would be.. where the .com keyword domain begins with intiials of person's first+last name.

thanks for any insight!

I'd say with domains like this you are going to have to take care, because of possible trademark infringement.

I think you are confused by keyword TRADEMARK that I used. it was but an example.

it could have been HORSE or JUPITER or MILKYWAY.

I'd appreciate if you make some effort to understrand my post before posting irrelevant content on my thread and getting things off topic.

thank you nonetheless for your good itnention

if they contact you, then they should make first offer

as for price, ask yourself "what's it worth to replace the name in your portfolio"

imo......

I would have him make the first offer that way you know how to proceed in pricing. If he really wants the domain he will make a move or if it's a lowball suggest after your counter offer other extensions are available he can afford. My two cents;)
