Hi all!

It is the second time in 1 year that I'm trying to place bids with my Bido account.

The first time I was able to place bids after I sent the tiny deposit to validate my account. Suddenly, they've asking me to make another deposit... The message says that you only have to send 1 deposit forever to validate my account! Suspicious? I've sent another one! Didn't worked! contacted the "support" no answer! Then a paypal claim and they haven't response to paypal neither!!

Almost a year later, I've decided to give it another try.... Yes It was stupid! They took my small deposit and ran away again! No response from support.....

Why this site is still active? Are they real auctions? Are they just trying to get as many traffic and deposit they can?

Sorry about your problem, but I've been using them for years and they aren't scam.

I'm shocked they don't shut it down, as some days you look and see that they've only made like $8 in commissions on their sparse sales. Can't be a profitable business to run at this point.

I don't have anything helpful to offer you as far as advice goes, but just wanted to give my general thoughts on the site and say it's legit but it's also barely a thing.

I never had any problems with them. I was pretty active as a buyer and as a seller few years ago.

I just don't know why I can't place bids? Why their support is not willing to answer?

thank you guys!

Few years ago they have great support. In this year I only put one domain for sale there and sold it (something around high $xx, nothing special). Did not have any problems. I did not buy anything there in this year.

Not sure if they are still legit, but I believe they are. But they are far away from what they used to be about 4-5 years ago.

I have used them many times to sell domains and no issues. But I never tried to buy domains there. IMHO, bido is good. But I heard they were trying to close the business and then re-started. But with very reduced business. So I don't think it is recommended.

I've bought and sold names at Bido for a few years, and quite recently.
As for lack of support; I have a feeling that because of the very low turnover, the site is just running on autopilot. That way, the owners just take the small amount of revenue, and don't have to do anything for it.
(Just my thoughts)

Regards

Ralph.

Someone puts up all the logos, though, no? It's crazy how clever some of them are. That seems like a tedious job considering how many of those names never sell.

I hadn't thought about the logos Beezy. I suppose they too could be automated. If you have a lot of logos that have multiple keywords attached, and then a domain name triggers one of the keywords.

My experience with BIDO was fine, I made 3 domain sales, very small one, at BIDO and everything went fine. I did receive the money as well very properly. Not faced any issues. I didnt bid there, therefore couldnt say about any technical difficulty if anyone may face. But overall it was fine experience. Yes there support usually dont answer, I did mailed them a few queries which was not replied.

Bido was great until it sold back a few years ago. You do not see or hear much about it anymore.

I am afraid they took my $xxx and run away. I will wait for a few days to make sure. But the first signs not looking good. They are most likely scam. I hope not. I need that money.

It sounds as if you have recently sold a domain name there, and not received the payment.
Log into your account, click on "My Domains" and then on "Sales"
This will show the status of the transaction. It's probably the buyer who hasn't paid for your name yet. You will eventually get a message saying "Buyer won't pay. Transaction cancelled"
I've had this happen to me.
I've got a name which is selling there today, I'll let you know if the transaction completes.

Regards

Ralph.

In my case, the buyer paid instantly, I sent my domain to the buyer and the buyer released the funds pending in escrow. Bido deducted the fees and the funds showed up in my balance. This happened around 2 weeks ago. Bidocom has not sent me my money since 2 weeks.

Have you requested a payout from your account?
If the buyer paid, the money should be in your account.
You can request a payment by PayPal, Skrill, or bank transfer.

Tested it today, works fine for me. Had low $xx on my Bido balance. Requested payout and received the funds to my paypal account within 15 min.
@poweredbyme, you may want to check THIS faq section on Bido, hope this helps.

Further to my previous messages.

I had a sale a few days ago at bido. The buyer was a bit slow in confirming that the name had been transferred to him; but when he did confirm, the money went straight into my Bido account. I requested a payment by PayPal; and it was in my PayPal account in less than five minutes.
As far as I'm concerned, Bido is working fine.

Yes I requested payout and did nothing wrong. I know what to do to receive payout.
In fact their service is almost perfect and cost effective. But it's very difficult to reach the support.

I am happy to say my issue resolved :) Finally I have been paid.
