NNN.pub

Received an email from a 4.cn domain broker offering mid $xxx for a NNN.pub which is the only one I have. It was just a whim when I registered it because I knew at that time the .pub extension was virtually unknown.

I was wondering why there's an interest in this domain name which is really not popular among domainers. So today after I got that email I checked the status of all NNN.pub. To my great surprise, all the NNN for the .pub extension are all taken. Not a single NNN.pub is available anymore.

Should I let go off this NNN.pub or what would you suggest?

Now, I tend to somewhat regret for not having registered maybe around 5 to 10 NNN.pub that time. During those times there were many premium NNN.pub still available. Oh well sometimes you just wish that you could bring back the time... :)

Wait for better offer into future;)

Maybe a few years to wait and be patient...

.pub is good extension, and into future will be valuable quality and short names.

I have only two names .pub, and I think, they are good names:

red.pub
metal.pub

I have a few that I registered as area codes, like 312.Pub, and actually noticed they have gotten traffic lately. I'd probably let some go for mid $xxx.

Congratulations!

I am really (but happily) surprised about your bid, if your number is not 111, 123, 247, 360, 365, 420 or 888.

Personally, I would sell it right away, but only the future will show if it also will have a future high(er) value.

Pretty sure they've been gone for months. Chinese registrars were previously contacting owners trying to buy them.

Bought the one and only available NNN.pub (with regular renewal fee) today. It dropped yesterday.

It costed me 10 bucks at Directnic. I would probably not have done it without reading this thread. ;)

I own a bunch of .pub domains but they are all UK cities such as Leeds.pub, Nottingham.pub and Aberdeen.pub. The idea of numeric .pub domains having any retail or wholesale value is just ridiculous imo - but if someone told me that 7 number .Com's or 3 number .XYZ's would have any value one year ago I would have said the same :)

I fully agree. I bought it "just in case". A NNN.pub makes no sense whatsoever, but a random LLLL.net with only consonants is kind of weird too. :D

I have two .PUB names that I actually like; Patricks .pub and Limerick .pub.

You do know the one you bought is the area code for Las Vegas, right?

Actually, I had no idea, but the number seemed familiar. ;)

Thanks a lot for letting me know and for actually find a meaning for the name.
