I have finally found out the secret to ranking #1 in Google and I want to share that inside information with my fellow NP'ers!

It took me almost a minute to find this informative video on YouTube, so I will save you the time and let you get right to learning how to rank #1 in Google!

P.S. You might need a notepad and pen handy. ;)

I know some of you, as I, have seen this. However, a refresher course can always be good. ;)

Me too! Hell, I've been doing that for years.

Why the heck do you think I rake in the cash from AdSense? ;)

PLUS, it kills 2 birds with one stone so to speak. Finding good links from those sources is the most fun part of it all.

Thanks @sam roy , I like to share and give back to this great community whenever I can! ;)

@GILSAN , Thanks, but I hope i'm really not the cause of unexpected underwear drizzle! ;)

@tiawood , Thanks, i'm glad you like it.

Have you seen this other great clip on Blackhat & Whitehat SEO? It's great as well, especially the part where he calls SEO's Snake Oil Salesmen

Wow...there goes my theory that Google (lead by Matt Cutts) is a S.S.S.E. (Secret Society Search Engine), where to rank you had to know the "secret handshake" and "password" (I figured out the password awhile back..it is "Matt Cutts Is God"

Well Bri, now you know that one of the biggest keys is to get those backlinks from the type of sites he mentioned in the video.

How many do you have for your sites? I'm still working on getting some. LOL

I seriously thought there was some new tip in this thread ...... then I started the video and thought, he is going to say 'content is the king' .... for first few seconds of the video. after that, I forgot about learning something new and just enjoyed it. :)

LOL. Great find @ulterios

Yeah, it was definitely something different. I just happened to stumble upon it while watching another video of his. I started watching it and wondering if there was any small piece of info to learn.

I soon realized if was just a parody. I guess I should have read the comment or something.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

The other one in the middle of this page about blackhat & whitehat seo is good too. I like the part where he says SEO's are snake oil salesmen.

Matt Cutts is quite a well known Google employee, His blog used to have a lot of posts about SEO etc but it started to get taken over more for personal posts (https://www.mattcutts.com/blog/).

When Google first came to backlinks were the only real way to rank they contributed towards your PR score. The higher the PR the greater ranking you could essentially get. Google have been moving away from this model however and content increasingly became more important. Other important factors for Google include:
  • Mobile friendly sites (they get a rank boost essentially)
  • Sites with high uptime
  • Sites using https
  • sites that have good click rates from search results
  • sites that retain visitors instead of users dropping off quickly
The lis goes on.

Yeah, I know Matt's things around the web very well. I have watched a lot of his webmaster videos and check his blog out from time to time.

I've been wondering about why he took his leave of absence fro Google though. I thought he might be leaving them or something.
