Hello everyone!

These are some of the domains I purchased:

- Manageville.com - for branding
- GrandJump.com - for branding, I think it is one the best in my beginner's portfolio
- SparkAccess.com - branding
- DeliFans.com - for a recipe/ review/ affiliate site
- QuiteaShow.com - maybe for a ticket selling site
- Zaveto.com - branding, sounds nice, is memorable and short
- BestPossibility.com
- BeginnerGolfing.com

Except for the last one, all are hand-registered for around $9.

What do you think about these names and the opportunities for these domains?
Looking forward to some honest opinions and hopefully not too sobering facts.... :)

Thanks a lot.

If I were you, I would only focus on liquid domains as a beginner.

Liquid domains are the ones which have a floor price, can be bought and sold easily in a few hours.

Those domains are worth nothing, sorry.. forget the dot-com boom.
You could buy a great new TLD domain for ~$80

And would you consider any of these domains as liquid?

The best example of a "liquid domain" is a 3-letter .com. Of course, the price is about 150 times what you've paid for this list of domains, for a single domain.

Thank you for your opinion. Interesting - I was sure that people/endusers might love grandjump.com and beginnergolfing.com.

Not at all. Brandable domain names are not liquid, and they are not meant for quick flipping for profit. They are for long term.

LLLL.com, CCC.com, LLL.net, NNNNN.net, etc. are liquid domains.

This is the safest type of investment a beginner could make, if they buy them at the floor price ofcourse.

Ouch! :)

Yep, this is not a quick game... Dn values on Brandables are highly subjective. Zaveto.com is nice but, it may take years to sell for a decent price.

Congratulations on your first purchases and welcome to domaining.

What is your domain name is not important.Even crap names sold too for XXXX. Finding enduser and complete the sale is success point.

Don't register next domains until you sold 60% of domains.

Goodluck.

These are decent names to get started - meaning to explore the sale channels and have first hand experiencing of selling the domains.

Thanks for that info!

I guess my planned approach is a bit risky - to start small, make some sales and then use those profits to move on up the ladder, buying increasingly more expensive domains.

And would you recommend to "diversify" the portfolio by mixing it up with brandables and liquid domains? Going for short-term and long-term profits?

Your choice of domains are of the better ones I have seen from a beginner, not great though. But you seem to have a fair idea. I suggest you dig into NamePros as you will find a tonne of knowledge that you will greatly find beneficial.

Buying/registering domains is the easy part, selling them is where it could get tricky but that is another chapter in domaining itself. Learn the fundamentals and recognise what makes a great domain.

All the best.

I'd say about %90 into liquid domains and the remaining in the brandables for you would be the safest bet. Brandables are not risky unless you plan on spending hundreds or thousands on them. A dozen bradables are not going to hurt, but you will have to learn to be patient.

Good luck with domaining and welcome to NamePros.

Thanks a lot.

I realized, after I purchased these domains, that I have a lot of reading to do before I buy some new domains.

There is so much to learn my friend and most of us are still learning (well I am). Give it time and patience and never be afraid to reach out for help/advice.

Thank you. Actually I planned on buying around 50 domains and then starting the sales processes. I guess you have a fast turnover?

Hello,

I am sorry but these domains are nothing special imho. I can't see a nice sale coming soon.
I think you should read and investigate the matter more in depth.
Also, quality > quantity. Rather than buy 50 crappy domains that will cost $500/year to renew (and won't sell anyway), buy just a few great domains. Not handreg domains.
But you first need to know what to buy, and what not to buy.

If these names were still available to register, that means nobody would even pay $10 for them so what makes you think somebody will pay you a premium ? It's much more difficult than it sounds...

Same here, I like Zaveto.com the most. I want to learn how to think up brandables like this :)

LLLL.com, CCC.com, LLL.net, NNNNN.net, etc. are liquid domains.

This is the safest type of investment a beginner could make, if they buy them at the floor price ofcourse.

Go with this advice. I think 4L will have a safer quick return. Floor seems to be rising ;)

Going for short-term and long-term profits?

4L + Brandables + Drone + maybe 6N

I found a few LLLL.com for sale under $100 but unfortunately they are absolutely unpronouncable!
