alert Breaking: 21.com is Stolen

Spaceship Spaceship
I have been alerted to the fact that the domain name 21.com has been stolen from its original owner.

The domain name, which sits in an eName.com account, was stolen by a Chinese individual who also stole 611.com - although this domain name has now been recovered. eName Technology Co., Ltd. is a notorious registrar, known for making it difficult to recover stolen domains.

Attempts to contact the rightful owner of 21.com haven't been successful so far, and it's not known whether the owner is even aware of the theft at this stage.

I hope that by releasing this information, the domain and original owner can be reunited.

Phishing, Spear Phishing, and Social Engineering.

Evidently, even the big boys fall prey to these old tricks.

This does sound a terrible news. Wondering how does one find out that somebody else's domain is stolen when the owner themselves haven't reported it? Is there like a service for owners to go to if they can't keep up watching their own account? That'd be nice for all of us.

I do hope this gets resolved.

This is an inaccurate statement. While many recent domain thefts are attributed to Chinese thieves, domain thefts are evenly spread in other nations as well: Iran, Egypt, Russia, Ukraine, Romania.

In this case, 21.com was naturally moved to Ename, a registrar known to make the life of domain theft victims very hard by not complying to the reversal transfer requests of the losing registrar.

Who reported the stolen domain if the owner does not report the stolen and not aware of the stolen up till now? Cause this is curious to me.
Please can you let out more of the information on the stolen?
Can we get the information of the real owner from.domaintools.com

Who reported the stolen domain if the owner does not report the stolen and not aware of the stolen up till now?

A well-respected escrow company discovered it while investigating a different stolen domain (an NNN.com) by the same thief. The NNN.com domain was confirmed as stolen and returned to its rightful owner. During that investigation, it was concluded that 21.com was stolen at the same time as the NNN.com domain name.
