API Problems

Discussion in 'HTML & Website Design' started by Jordan Roper, Aug 14, 2015.

    Hi there,

I have a problem when I am trying to do an analysis of my site. It's saying " We cannot perform the analysis of your website due to an API error!". I was just wondering if anyone know what this means or how I can fix this problem.

    Look forward to hearing back,

    Best Regards,

    Jordan

If it is the same site as the one referenced in your other question it is because the code is garbage and expecting anything to work with such an error filled trash heap is beyond any grasp of reality. Clean up the code so it at least resembles a valid HTML page.

Since you say nothing about what the API is, what site it is, nor what you're trying to do (except an analysis... of what, exactly?), it's impossible to help. As @COBOLdinosaur said, if it's the same page as you linked in another thread, it has 50 errors in the HTML alone, some of the minor, some major. I'm not surprised some error is forcing the site to break. Fix the code, THEN ask for help if it still doesn't work.

Then you need to be very technical for that.
Learn how the Console work and learn how to fix the problems.
I'm seeing that your homepage is getting some files that are "404 (Not Found)".
I believe your site's old location is: littleideasdesign.co.uk

If ever you need a freelancer to help you out, then you can message me your offer for a specific issue..

Then what makes you think you can develop a web site? To do it right you need knowledge of a number of different technologies, and how to use the tools. As for "How would I go about fixing the code?"; either invest the time to learn the basics so you at least understand the errors, or hire a professional to do the work.

Expecting to just step in and do a web site without any training is about as logical as expecting to get in an F1 car and win a race; and the result is probably the same in both cases... CRASH!!!

I'm not sure if you are seeing the same site as I am, but the littleideasdesign.co.uk was the company that built the old site. Since then we've had a new one built on a completely different server with no reference to littleideasdesign.co.uk so I'm not sure how you're seeing that site, unless your seeing the old site?

I used the link you posted in your other question. If you have a different link then post it. If you just want to play games and waste everyone's time find a game site. Regardless of what page you are referencing the fact that you expect to fix manage a website without investing some time to learn the basics means you start out with a model that can only fail. You either need to spend some time learning or hand the site over to someone with the qualifications to manage it for you.
