Chinese domain spammer: “I do it for the good money”

If you own a random four letter .com domain, chances are that you have been contacted at least a dozen times by domain spammers.

Those unscrupulous individuals email every permutation domain’s owner – from AAAA to ZZZZ – placing lowball offers, regardless of letter quality.

The proliferation of mass email spam to domain owners has been fed by increased capital availability in China, where LLLL domains are being flipped like penny stocks.

We reached out to one of the most prolific Chinese domain spammers, who goes by the nickname HunJoo888.

At least he’s stayed away from the numerics

  2. Oren says:

I don’t get it – half the time i respond and say yes to the offer they make, and then they never respond again! I even will add the response in chinese. Such a waste of time

Learned a long time ago that anything .qq gets sent to spam folders. They’re never going to give me the price I want so even if its a legit 1/2 of 1% domain inquiry, its not a loss. Havent been happier since banning any .qq emails
