I am looking to contact some businesses and their decision makers and was wondering what are other tools like AeroLeads using which people can find emails and phone numbers of startups, small businesses etc ?

Normally you can purchase information from companies like Hoovers, SalesGenie, and SimplerLeads. Cold calling is tough, even warm calling can be irritating. I would personally google the information and email the contact or marketing department, it's a lot like a hail-mary. You want to study up on the client and when you contact a small business the best approach, leave them a voicemail but DON'T tell them you are with an organization.

If you own a business and someone leaves you a voicemail with a company, would you most likely call them back? Probably not. If someone called and said hey this is Christopher, give me a call back at 555-5555; you’re more likely to call back because you automatically assume it's associated with your business.

I have not, the only tool for leads I have used is SalesForce and I'm quite familiar with it but this is a database tool for Leads and allows amazing appointment and follow up reminders, etc.

Another source like Hoover's is Zoominfo. These tools require monthly subscriptions and allow access to their comprehensive databases of companies and their employees. They tend to be great for public companies and other large organizations. However, if your targets are SME's then they will not have as complete information.

Data.com is another such service. I believe that they have a model in which if you provide them a lead, you get a free lead back in return. So, you might give them ten of your leads and then use the service, for free, for ten leads you need information for.

How about Thomas.net which is a catalog of suppliers. This is the Thomas Register that used to be in libraries for anyone to look for suppliers.

I just did a fast search in a category and followed it all the way to Company Name, Address and Phone Numbers.

    Hope this helps.

The OP is looking for decisionmakers at companies, not general contact information as is provided by directories like ThomasNet.com, Manta. com, etc.

I understand. Is it possible to do phone calls to find that information out or check their websites? It's called due diligence. Might be able to go to the decisionmakers another way that no one else is looking at.

Yes, that is always an option; however, the OP was asking about "tools" to make the process easier than that.

You can try using Scrapebox. You can find a lot of emails using that program.

Well there are many databases which you subscribe monthly and they provide such information. First you can do your Google search and their website which you definitely do but you will be surprised with information you find on a company website or off of Google results. Also try Linked-in professional, it works better for me.

I have used LinkedIn professional. It is a good tool for increased searches but that is it. It is not good for prospecting unfortunately and inmails are not enough. Also there is no way to find emails and phone numbers through linkedIn hence we have to use tools like AeroLeads.
