    ResellerClub Domain Suspension without Warning.

    Hi,

    We're hosting company and we use both resellerclub and onlinenic for registration for our customers, but most valuable with resellerclub. total due : USD 157952.57. For a month ago, they suspended one of the registrered domains over us. It's used for personal website, and there was no "illegal content". We didnt get any abuse mail about it and also when we contact the abuse team got this answer 2 weeks later;

    "The domain name .....com was suspended for selling counterfeit products. I would also like to highlight the fact that we did ask you for certain documents to verify if the products displayed on your website are legitimate and allotted a time frame of 48 hours before the domain was suspended. Since there was no update from your end neither did you provide us any legitimate proof as to why the domain is registered the domain remained suspended."

    We told that, this is a "personal" web site and there is no product selling over it. Then, we couldnt get answer for a week. At last, I talked our account manager over skype and couldn't get update for 3 days. Without abuse mail, how can they suspend the domain? Why they request document for a "personal" website? I told the account manager to transfer, but couldn't get any update for it also. What's your opinion?

    Thanks,

    Are you sure there wasn't some "hidden" content on that web site that neither you nor your customer was aware of - i.e., something placed there by a hacker?

    About half the spam I receive these days has links to what are clearly hacked parts of genuine web sites.

    Hi,

    I'm sure about that. It was a personal website and then customer forwarded it to his another website. Not parking, only redirecting. website is still active and also domain registered via resellerclub.

    Thanks,

    Even if account was hacked, and they didn't get the email notification, there's no excuse for the registrar to reply to their tickets/requests 2 weeks later?! In my opinion, that's a bit far too long to wait for the response from support, especially if domain is suspended.

    OP, I guess you asked for the proof, something to show where the issue was so you can solve this and get this domain unsuspended. I hope you will have more info soon and not in 2 weeks from now.

    Hi,

    We use our owned IP subnets that have abuse contact information for each IP address subnet. If website was hacked or had any suspecious content, we should got the abuse mail first, also resellerclub sends abuse mail for any domain to our abuse mail. Our abuse team and especially I checked our mail servers, anti-spam gateways and also mail logs but coudnt find any mail about suspended domain. There is no mail from resellerclub and any other abuse systems.

    They request document for "a company" that allowed this domain to register. This is the question that I couldnt understand. Previous mail from resellerclub abuse team;

    That would be it. It appears the client was using this website as a gateway to redirect to his "bad" website.

    I am unclear if this is your domain or client's domain. The correspondence from resellerclub is about "your domain" and abuse emails would have been sent to the registrant/client not to you (the host).

    sorry about that, but resellerclub request documents for "domain owner company" not us. I also checked e-mail of the domain from console that's pointed at domain whois record, but there is no abuse mail. we got several abuse mail from resellerclub 48 hours limited to solve. we solve the problem, warn or inform the customer and return to resellerclub. but for this domain there is no warning or abuse mail.

    Hello,

    We have unsuspended the domain name for the next 5 days and the current status of the domain name is set to 'OK'. You are requested to place a transfer request and get the domain transferred away within the mentioned time frame.

    Regards,
    Abuse Mitigation Desk
