I primarily use my iphone for emails (sending/receiving) but my iphone doesnt inform me of new junk mail. A few days ago i was signed into my email acct on my laptop and went into my junk mail box. Inside my junk mail i saw an email stated "INTERESTED", The message in this email looked like this:

we are interested in aquiring your domain xxxx.net as our client currently owns the .com version. Our client has informed us they would like make a one time offer of $x,xxx for your name. Please respond to us with your reply.

thank you

The message was originally sent to me 19 days before i read it. I contacted the sender informing them i would accept their offer. Escrow was used for the transaction and ive been paid. Domain was registered 6 months ago through godaddy (by me).

Buyer has asked to keep the domain name and final sales value ananymous.

Good for you! Congrats!

You are so right about this. I always check my email on my iPhone and you have to go into a different section of the mail app to check other folders besides your inbox.

I was just complaining the other day about how I now have to check the entire mail app in case something is in the junk folder because, like you said, there is no notification on the app telling you something went into spam. I can see why though. If it's spam, you don't want to see it anyway.

But I have now made it part of my daily routine to check the spam folder. You never know what golden tickets might have fallen in there.

Also, be sure to check it within 30 days. Gmail deletes all spam after 30 days.

I have notice over the past month I get a spam email for one of my numerics 889895.com every few days. Thanks to a NP Chinese member they explained 889895 split into three units (88, 98, 95) and say them in either Mandarin or Cantonese, it's still smooth and easy to remember.

In Mandarin: 88 发发 (make a fortune x2) 98 久发 (make a fortune, for ever) 95 酒网 (wine website) Which means a wine ecommence site that prospers.

@JudgeMind maybe I will make contact after reading your post. I never touch spam emails to avoid being hacked and remember that I though I hit the jackpot years ago when I got spam interest lol.

Today I get another spam email as usual and i know it is some prick pretending to be GoDaddy asking me to click and renew my domain 226860.com when I already know I hand reg this year before the 6 x N numeric boom in July and it doesnt expire until 2018...

I think its always good to be very cautious when responding as the image below is what I think a few domainers would click on the link and sign in and the hackers will have all your details.

As soon as I see an email as per below from GoDaddy as it isn't always in the spam folder is will do whois.com check on my domain to check expiry and if it is coming up for renewal I will go to Godaddy.com and sign in and never click on the email link to sign in :)
