    * Premium DNS, is it worth it? Comodo

Has anyone tried Comodo Premium DNS or any other providers premium dns service where it caches local DNS?

    https://www1.domain.com/product/comodo-premium-dns.bml

I assume you just buy it and that;s it, no more work required and all is auto?

I have a store and would love to reduce response time

There is no such thing was Premium DNS, the only thing that would make it non premium is by using non premium transit providers (upstream providers)

You can speed up your site by implementing PHP Caching such as APC,xCache,Memcache and maybe mod_pagespeed and gzip

DNS will not speed up your site.

You need to look at your hosting configuration.

I know about the server side of the things but are you saying that DNS Caching won;t speed up the time it takes for the connection to be established?

First of all I do apologize for over looking the thread, and not looking at what it actually offers in terms of features. I also did a couple of tests to see if I was able to provide a better response.

I saw that the DNS resolution time does not seem to effect it a lot, it does effect the wait time and that is added to the total load time but is marginal it seems. for sure it's going to be better if you have any cast DNS solution.

It's better having lower latency so the initial query is able to connect faster, all DNS records are cached then depending on the TTL expiry. it would request updates from the DNS Servers based on the TTL.

You can use tools.pingdom to make a judgement if it helps or not.
