Hey Blackhats. Anyone here with any experience with PTC (paid-to-click) sites?

I am looking to start a PTC site and I am currently researching on it. but a few questions are not making me move ahead.

1- How much estimate an ptc site owner can earn. off course I'll not scam people and pay as high as possible to make a decent start, also make the people trust my site.

2- Is PTC industry still profitable? means do people spend their time and talent for earning less then $2 per day .PTCs pay at most 1-2 cents per ad.. Are there still people who would waste their time to earn 10-20 cents daily? So basically, what my question is, are PTC sites still worth the time and effort for the owners?

3- what kind of profit margins should I keep? I was thinking that maybe I can use the point system where 1000points are = $1. Moreover I get only 10-20% of all the incomes and other than will spend in promoting and give bounus to members.

4 - Lastly, what kind of budget should I keep for this project?

Anyone who is willing to be partner with me I'll appreciate . we will divide the profit. I am really serious I really need someone who works with me

if you are really serious about it then you should invest $5000 to $10000 for your site to be in elite class like neobux, clixsense etc

but if you can not afford spending $5000 or more then you can make a ptc site in $100 but there are hundreds of cheap ptc sites coming and going in a couple of months, your site will also not give you income, you will be forced to shut down the site and say bye bye to ptc world

@Noor Mohammad why ptc? It's less profitable than any other business like display or affiliate network.
If you are serious about building your own ad network contact me at: I will help you for free.
My company www.adbrowser.net serves software for display networks so I think I'm the right person to help with first steps :)

Yeah I was exactly thinking the same. And Unfortunately I can't afford that much. I can do up to $100 but its not worth it.and It will a flop I Guess. How about if I start any affiliate network Like @Mackos said. I know its hard to manage it but Hardwork makes everything possible. What do you say?

@Noor Mohammad I created this account just to reply to your question. Yes, i do have some experience in building a PTC business. It's Very-Hard-Work, believe me. The biggest problem is getting new users to sign up and finding advertisers to buy traffic. Obvious methods like forums or advertising don't really work (or they work, but slow). I am actually looking for a partner to help me run the business, as it's getting too big for one person to handle. I am doing everything alone right now, from front-end of the website, to PHP backend, to server management (the site actually offers two kind of traffic - one is PTC and the other is fake traffic generated by bots, currently running on eight 8GB/4core VPS servers), to advertising, to just anything you can think of.

Profits? Yes, some. If i manage to scale it up just 10 - 15 times, this business will bring several thousand dollars every month (right now it's ~200 USD). Feel free (you or anyone else) to send me a PM if you want to have a chat.

Lets see how much money it brings in when you are caught sending your fake traffic and networks don't pay you or your clients demand refunds... and you come to DP to cry about how a network scammed you by not paying for fake traffic.

Not really sure why you are creating accounts to reply to questions that you were able to communicate with out the account, and i'm pretty sure having more than 1 account is against DP TOS.

Btw, "Fake Traffic Generated by Bots" = Certified Scumbag.

    1. Caught sending fake traffic? It is clear for all my buyers that they can buy a) completely fake traffic, b) PTC traffic. There's no scam or deception. If someone decides to pay for fake traffic, for whatever reason, i'm willing to supply it.
    2. I simply assumed it's impossible to reply without having an account. I didn't have an account on this forum yet.

    1. Holding a blind eye doesn't make it ethical.

I agree to @wrekoniz3 Generating fake traffic will let your business down very soon. When the advertiser will caught your fake traffic and ask for refund.. Sorry mate #woodkid , I am not interested but I appreciate that you created account just to reply my question. Welcome to DP. I'll be with you when ever you need.

Thanks guys. What wasn't said is that i want to move away from fake traffic in order to focus solely on PTC traffic. It's beneficial for everyone and removes many problems. Just to clarify @Noor Mohammad, i am not selling fake traffic to advertisers, as it would be pointless. If any advertiser asks me "Is it fake traffic?" i always say "Yes, buy PTC traffic if you want real human visitors". Anyway, that's all i had to say on this matter. I'm not trying to forcibly, unethically sell fake traffic and pretend it's real.

ptc traffic is still fake though. users are just there to click, they'd never be interested to what is prompt to them.

I don't agree, from my experience PTC users do convert. Obviously, the conversion rate is insanely low.

The conversion rate is low because the majority of the traffic on PTC programs is fake. People use bots and auto-clickers / auto surfers. There is a reason networks and digital media advertisers as a standard don't allow or buy traffic from PTC / Traffic Exchanges.

Also, let me say that transparency is cool, thanks for clarifying that you do that. However, if you sell traffic to someone knowing the url they are sending traffic to, and knowing that there are ads on it, then you expose your self to be liable for Wire Fraud / Conspiracy (in the US at least). Wire Fraud encapsulates all if not most forms of Digital Advertising Fraud in the US.

You might not be trying to pretend its real, but your clients most likely are. Any kind of involvement or knowledge of providing fake traffic which ultimately generates revenue via Advertising deceptively, will expose you to liabilities.

Selling fake traffic in any way, even if 100% honest and transparent, is still unethical. If you sold a drug to someone and said, hey this can kill you, but you still sold it to them, doesn't make it any more ethical to sell.

Who is PTC beneficial for other than those who are leeching millions of dollars from advertisers yearly?
