I don't think you will have a trademark issue really. I have seen many other developed domains with brand names on them (like Acer, HP, Dell, Asus, etc...) these sites pretty much act as reseller for whatever brand they are selling. Some of them are just normal Amazon affiliate sites even.

Obviously you can't be silly about it and stick up offensive content on the site or have a laptopacer.com domain and sell HP stuff on the site. Doing stuff like that would be asking for trouble. If you were to put up an amazon affiliate site selling exclusively Acer products then it's unlikely you would have an issue.

I think it's a good domain. Probably worth contacting a few end users to see if they might be interested, and maybe park it as well to see what sort of offers you get.

I disagree. For a starter my advice is: Don't touch trademarks for any reason, you could search for a really good domain, no reason to put yourself (and pocket) in danger.

yes, i think this name have huge potential to sell to enduser (like online laptop reseller, blogger...) and parking also a good idea!

Well there you have it Ngoc Pharm - Two different view points - Your domain, your choice mate. Do whatever you feel is the best course of action.

You can proceed with caution and do what Kite26 suggested or you could decide to risk it.

Personally, If I owned the domain I would not delete the it, I would either sell to end user or create an Amazon affiliate site with exclusively Acer products on it.

so, except TM issues, what do you think about the value/price for this name mate?

I think I buy the advice of @deez007. You can check the LaptopAcer.net was registered in 2015 and for sales of Acer's product and also with other laptop products.
There is atrademark issues on the domain; it must be used with care.So if you are making sales for Acer, there may be no problem. IMO.

1.) There is an obvious TM issue.
2.) The term is backwards. Acer Laptop is the natural term, not Laptop Acer.
3.) Who do you really expect will be interested in paying a premium price for this domain?

Reg Fee.

Common sense.
Would you be happy if I registered a domain with your corporate name in it, without your permission ?
And that I started using it to promote products from your competitors ? This is what you are doing.

Your domain is parked and I have seen at least one sponsored link for a competitor: HP.
Bad faith is definitely established through usage, that's all it takes to lose a UDRP.

I think it's TM. Don't park names like this. When lawyers see a TM parked they assume bad faith/cybersquatting.

No it will not used to promote products of other competitors for sure. this domain name is only for people who want to sell latop of acer online...

Okay if the parked domain is showing up competitor ads then probably a good idea to unpark that domain.

Other than that, my opinion is still the same. If it was my domain I wouldn't delete it. I would either sell to an end user OR I would develop it into a Amazon affiliate site with Acer products only.

I have seen many such sites already in existence with various brands and many of the have the brand mentioned in the domain. If this is done properly and the content is non offensive and you sell products ONLY manufactured by the brand in question then most of the time there will not be an issue, you would pretty much be acting as a reseller.

The estimate for this name is the price which trademark holder willing to pay for the UDRP.

I'm not talking about what you say you will or won't do with this name in the future. I am talking about what you're doing right now.
The least you should do is to unpark the domain name. Even better, delete it because I don't see much upside here. Only trouble. Nobody is going to buy this name from you. Forget the automated appraisals, they are rubbish.

You cannot sell a name with the word "Acer" in it....especially to a laptop reseller...its that simple,

Trademark infringement. Put it here at $1 start auction. Some novice may buy if you are lucky.

first i just unpark it to avoid the risk about showing competitors ads.

@deez007 you gave me good idea about amazon affiliate site for acer product only!

any new comment would be greatly appreciated!

You will need to get permission from Acer for this, which I doubt you will
