Hi, this is for all those people who are selling on NamePros.com. First thing that you need to remember after the sale is complete, is to erase or blank out all the details in the thread posted by you. As it becomes very difficult to sell a domain for $X,XXX or even $XXX, if the end-user is aware the domain was sold over here for only $XX or even $X.

It is my humble request to everyone selling domain. PLEASE blank out/ erase all the details of the sale, once completed. It not only helps the person buying the domain from you but also makes you a good seller.

Thanks and I hope, this thread would be read by as many people possible over here.

Regards
RK

I would add a few more points of etiquette that I think should be followed:

1. We are supposed to be a community here, so for small transactions use friends and family payments at PayPal to save the seller a little money.

2. Wrap up your transactions as quickly as possible on both ends.

3. Seller should post a positive review upon receipt of payment and buyer upon receipt of name.

4. Remove the domain name from all marketplaces.

5. Pushes are great, but try to accommodate those who wish to transfer out.

6. Be patient and kind.:)

sales threads represent history

one can go back and see what a name sold for in the past, but a potential buyer can't buy it now, unless they are willing to pay today's asking price.

your fears are based on fear, not facts.

imo....

Remember, using paypal friends and family?
Better tread carefully there....

you are correct but the if you are selling to an end user they hold the cards in the negotiations and not you. Because they would always know that if a domain was sold for $10, then the domain only becomes valuable if they buy it.

maybe you've watched some bad video's or got information mixed up

but end-users can't hold the cards, while i'm holding the domain.

they (end-users) don't always know "anything or everything" and the domain can still have value even if that end-user doesn't purchase it.

imo...

Most end-users don't spent xx,xxx on a domain because they think it's valuable. They spend the money because they have to.

And if an end user ever used this argument on me I'd ask them one question.

If you go out with a metal detector and find a kilo of gold, is it worth less because you dug it up for nothing?

If Nampros allows you to delete the price, absolutely nothing wrong with doing it. Better yet, delete other references to the sale you don't want to remain public. Case closed.

that is all i am requesting. I am just letting people know the issues I am facing. There are people that criticize, but this is an issue which I am currently facing.

I think it's a great idea, kind of like people not removing their Sedo price and you have to ask them to, or contact Sedo and get them to do it.

It hurts when you've purchased a domain and the whois show's it listed at Sedo much cheaper than the deal you're working on.

I addressed this question some time ago with my auction site and I now have the program remove all sales in 7 days, wipes the record clean. I think it's 7 days would need to check but it's not very long I do know that. :)

I do agree with you as it could mean one less hurdle to complete a sale and if you done a poll, I'm sure the results would be very much in your favour.

Good luck with your potential sale.
