    Anonymous nameserver choices

    Hello all,

Many service providers offer anonymous name servers now, many using all kinds of extensions such as .net, .info and the more traditional .com

Is there a hard and fast rule regarding the domain name to choose for anonymous name servers? After all we're not after pleasing Google or other ways of making a site attractive, this is purely to offer a nameserver service for websites so my guess is anything will do with regards to the domain extension/tld?

    Hope I made some sense!

    Thanks.

It depends on your business setup really. If you are selling reseller hosting, then you need to use a domain that do not point to your main business domain.

Usually, .net is good for this.

All of our resellers point to data centers, not the host we have the resellers with or us. If you did a "who is hosting this domain" it will show the name of the data center. If you do the same search with any of our client sites it will show the same thing for them, data center.
