It sounds like China is injecting more credit into their economy, which could eventually lead to an even bigger blow-up, but that is probably a couple years out, according to Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, an American global investment firm with $4.5 trillion under management who thinks 2016 will be a good year for the Chinese economy.

I was driving back from the grocery store, listening to Bloomberg radio, and the commentators seemed really fascinated with Fink's remarks on China. His view is more optimistic than the general consensus, but he is a guy certainly worth listening to.

Of course, if the Chinese economy were to boom a little this year, that would be positive for domain names -- at least, that's how I see it -- and it would denote a risk-on environment.

Got my fingers crossed ;)

What do you think? Will we ever see another bull market in Chinese domains?

Can't believe no one voted... Pump up value to create perceived value==>scare little guys to drop or sell cheap==> big players buy cheap and control the market thereafter... this market is far from collapsing I'd love to buy everyone's "crap" at "fair market value" right now

The money to be made was so good, I would be surprised if this thing never got up and made another run at it ever again.

Almost all 4L.com chips with any real value or pinyin meaning have been removed from the market by those who understand this niche. The majority of chips traded these days are simply four letters that have very little true value if any.

On January 1st, 2015 chips were selling for around $120 per name. One year ago today they were at the $300 mark. Before you can make a true projection of where the market is going you need to truly understand how and why they reached their all time high at the end of last year.

Cheers

People are buying, well making offers. I'm not talking about just 4Ls.... Premium numerics in all TLds... Online gambling is a high dollar niche.

I could see the Chinese market making a run again in the first quarter 2017 by some manipulation after some big players pick up everything cheap after all the drops in late 2016.
