Howdy, Members:

1. Domain Registrars? Does anyone have experience with Frank Schilling's Uniregistry vs. Moniker ?

2. Registrars for Domain/Website sales $10K or less?
Are there any real benefits to using one reputable registrar over another of domain sale transactions $10K or less?

Thank you in advance for your comments.

Positively,

~ Alan

Hello Alan,

I once used Moniker, but it has some problems after ownership change then I moved all my domains from there. Later, there were some problems with Moniker, you may check old threads here. I don't know how they are doing now.
I don't have domains at Uniregistry but it looks solid and secure. Above everything, it is built by domainers and may satisfy your needs.

I never used Uniregistry, but Moniker?? Come on, only 1&1 can be worse. Where did you get this idea at all? Did you read some post of 5 years ago? Yes they ruled back then but now they are just a nightmare.

There are so many threads here about good registrars. Why not to search the forum and read? Dynadot, Namesilo, Namebright...

Hey Guys, do keep in mind Uniregistry did handle over 1.5 million registrations in one day. I really think that speaks fathoms here as other registrars had to put clients on 48 hour hold and only did a fraction of the volume we did. Also, not many registrars out there have the modern bulk tools, interface, and iPhone/Android apps like us. More to come as well!

DM me if you want to move domains in as id be happy to offer discounts based on volume.

No reason to use Uni and fund your competition.

@golan mentioned solid registrars.

That's a weak mentality. It's funny you say that while a lot of the best names on the net are here along with a lot of top domain investors in the biz. I've never heard that from them and have seen people that have not had too much success have more sales with us here and actually build a business.

So have you fully looked at Uniregistry? If you didn't view Frank S as your competition, what would your thoughts be? In all reality, most registrars are outdated and some are soo bad they won't even let you bulk transfer out in fear of losing all of their names.

Maybe im wrong here, but it seems you have a lot of domains at Go Daddy. Since they have been buying large portfolios, do you view them as compitition too?

PS - Thanks for supporting our registry with your .Link :)

Having tried Uniregistry support it's lacking. Last time I sent in a ticket it took several days for a response. When I was considering moving domains there I asked some questions and never heard anything. Uni didn't understand the questions or did not want to answer.

I like NameSilo due to the pricing, customer support, free privacy, and features. I've written to NS late at night and gotten an email response in minutes. Just helped a family member transfer names there.

NS, unlike a lot of registrars these days, does not push new Gs. They are just focused on providing good customer experience with domain registration. Dynadot is another nice option.

Make an offer Frank. That is if your company doesn't steal it from me.

Referring to potential customers as stupid isn't a great plan FYI.

Yeah, we have had a flood of new customers come in with questions on our Market, but have hired 3 new support people in different time zones, so those tickets should get resolved and we should get quicker and quicker with support. The large accounts I deal with have my cell number/skype, so I'm usually easy to catch if needed for light support. #growingpains

Last time I checked registrar stats, we are the top 19th registrar in the world, always in the top 10 fastest growing month on month with transfers in. We have only been around for 2 years! Not sure anyone else has experienced that sort of growth in our space! We can go back and forth, but in the end the free market decides with domains :)

Also, if you really knew our founder and company, you would know of our impeccable reputation here. Not sure why you would feel otherwise. Email me and ill happily resolve any issues you have.

Rather than bicker, I urge anyone to judge for themselves! There is no risk in setting up an account and taking a look as im confident anyone would be impressed.

My email is in one of the above messages for anyone that wants to take me up on this. Happy to offer some discounts as well.

Happy Domaining :)

Smoke and mirrors to claim large registrar numbers with Name Admin and North Sound Names domains. In addition to .XYZ 1 cent promotion.

What's going on, Frank?

I personally like Uniregistry simply because of the user experience. It's a clean and easy to navigate website. Plus the support is pretty good. Unimarket seems to work well. I am having an issue with traffic stats. They don't seem to be updating on my portfolio. Otherwise, I am an advocate.

Moniker is dead and you do not want domains there. Risky.

I like the Uniregistry interface and all works well there including the free privacy, but there is no way I would have more than a handful of domains there because the published prices are not competitive.

They are not clearly setting out their prices - supposedly by asking you get some cut rate deal but you have no idea whether it will continue or how it compares to the deals offered to others in private. Nice site, but no thanks till the true prices are public and competitive.

Hey Shane,

Glad you like the platform here!

I've told Sevan to reach out to you as well.

Found the issue... someone made the "wise" decision to withhold traffic stats from Unimarket for regular members. Would love to hear the rationale behind that one.

It's hardly impeccable. FS is arguably respected and overly deified.

You're talking about Escrow services more than registrars. I would start with Escrow.com and then look for comparable/reviews starting there. Focus on insurance and support and full escrow capabilities.
